I signed that dreaded contract and now I am going through hell. I want to leave but I only have 3 weeks experience and every company I called that hires students said they can't hire me due to that darn contract. Does anyone know of a company that will hire me with little to know experience although I am in contract with crst. I know they have sued before against companies and won, but maybe, just maybe one of you out there got lucky, who was in the same situation I am in. PLease helllpppp! :biggrin_2557::biggrin_25510::biggrin_25516::biggrin_2556::biggrin_25524::biggrin_2552:

So, why do you want to leave after 3 weeks ? You will have to pay your dues, SOMEWHERE.

I would love to pay my dues to any company besides crst. I would take lower pay just to get away from here. I was with a really good trainer and he quit because we were not getting any miles, crst would not fix the truck, half the permits were expired and he kept asking to get to a terminal for new permits, they did not and would not send me to a terminal to get my long form, and he kept telling the dispatcher that I wasn't riding legal. Talk to some of my classmates and found out, they did not give anyone their long forms. Our dispatcher finally did send us to a terminal to get permits and the truck serviced, claiming he scheduled and appointment, got to the terminal only to be told that the appointment was not scheduled and there are 12 trucks ahead of us and that he would fit us in and it would be a 2-3 day wait. Which turned into 4 1/2. At this point my trainer who was a very mild-mannered respectful guy said I quit! He apologized to me for leaving and said that he wished me the best of luck, packed his things and left in a taxi. I sent a message to my dispatcher that my trainer quit and I am still on the truck. Was told to pack my things and he would send me a voucher for a hotel. called the hotel and ask them to come and get me they would not get me cause the voucher was not sent. Spent the nite in the truck. Next morning called dispatcher, no answer. Called every number I knew and was told, u need to talk to ur dispatcher. finally got in touch with dispatcha and was told that hotel never received voucher. He said he would send it, which he should have done that the nite before. Waited an hour called hotel and they came and got me. Once I got to hotel I realized that I needed to turn in the trip information so I can get paid. Took the shuttle back to the terminal to get papers and they were not their. called trainer to see if he took them and he said he accidentally took them and would turn them in. That was two days ago and he still have not turned them in so now I won't get paid Tuesday because when he took all the paperwork, he took it all! I don't have any of the information except what's on the qualcomm. I filled out a trip sheet to the best of my ability with the information on the qualcomm, now I am hoping payroll will accept it because some information is missing because my trainer has it and he won't answer my calls anymore so I can get it. Ok, now I am sitting in carlisle, pa waiting for a new trainer and I've been talking to some other students here and they have been waiting on a trainer for over 2 weeks, so where does that leave me. My dispatcher is a 24 year old who always has an attitude and when I talk to him he always says "I will take care of it, I understand" but never does. Those are his famous words. At this point, I don't know what to do. I have decided to proactively find my own trainer (with no luck), but I'm not going to give up. Ok that's what happened and no I am not being a cry baby I am just stating darn facts. I understand I will have to pay my dues and by all means I will, but after dealing with this crap and staying in a hotel with 11 other students that are going through the same thing, the numbers speak for themselves.

To the original poster, you aren't the Lone Ranger, and CRST specifically has sued other carriers for hiring drivers under contract to them, that said, I know of people who were hired at companies CRST hadn't sued while under the contract and before it was completed.

You have no certificate and won't for months, and not enough experience for the companies only requiring a little experience.

And I echo what everyone else has said. I came out of a CDL mill and had to work out a contract (one year). Sure, there were some rough times, but I stuck it out. And I know you can. Just keep your head down, your mind open, do the job, work out the contract, and you'll be fine. If I can get through it, anyone can.
