i would have to see how bad the trucks were to really comment

Did your boss have a company in Ohio at one time?
I listened to this guy rant for 30 minutes about HIS trucks. Then another 20 about ciggerette butts in the parking lot. All this at a company meeting.
Then I cleaned my truck. And went home. Didn't come back. -
Hey-I sure didn't plan to do it.The last time i heard "clean the trucks up inspection in the morning" was when i drove light duty wreckers in Dallas. Before daylight i rolled and burned the wrecker.I haven't heard it since.Take care.Brian

I'm not sure why an owner wanting their equipment kept clean is a bad company???

Moorman Transportation in KY inspects the cabs on weekends and if they are dirty they clean them and charge the driver for cleaning.
Lonesome Thanks this. -
What's the problem? Especially if you slip seat...Worked for a company, opened the door to the truck and it smelled like a litter box...I refused to drive it...There is nothing wrong with a clean truck and it doesn't mean that management doesn't appreciate it's drivers

Anybody else remember slipseating in a cabover and finding trash piled 3 ft high between the doghouse and passenger door ?
papa1953 Thanks this. -
In slip seating, it shows they do care
They did not want drivers having to
Work in someone elses mess!3 steps Thanks this. -
If you are slip seating, I understand the constant battle of keeping the cab clean, then coming on the next day to a mess..
But how hard is it to keep your truck clean? I'm not one of those overly anal guys about cleanliness, but I always have air fresheners, armor all wipes, and grocery sacks that I use for trash bags. I empty the trash every day and if I have to throw food away in the truck, I get rid of it as soon as possible.
