BEWARE of hendrickson trucking in sacramento calif

I agree that Hendrickson Trucking is one of the worst, if not the worst trucking companies out there. I started in february of this year and I currently run teams with them. The miles have not been bad and I am home every weekend. The office staff is the most unorganized group of idiots I have every dealt with in a trucking company in my 5 years of trucking. No one every knows what the hell is going on. this company does not llike to fix anything, twice I have had to call CHP on them for not fixing problems I have had with their trucks. They currently have about 20 new Kenworth T-660 and none of them have current registration. Twice they have shorted my on my paycheck, and I have called the department of labor about this. Hendrickson Trucking is currently under investigation about not paying their drivers. Over the past week they told all of the team drivers that we were getting a pay raise. Based on my experience so far with these crocks, I doubt they will even be able to pay the drivers for the correct miles they drove. This week Hendrickson Trucking shorted every single employee on their checks. They will not give anyone a reason why they shorted everyone's paychecks, my co driver and I were shorted $300 each. They also had the EFS fuel cards turned off on wednesday due to failure to pay their bills. I am an Iraq war veteran and I would rather deal with the ######## I had to deal with in Iraq then work for this company anymore. Do not work for this trucking outfit if you are considering working for Hendrickson.

 

I could'nt agree more.I'm in the middle of a 8 month sentence,and with out getting into alot of details,I'm fairly positive that it all starts with DISPATCH. And DISPATCH can't get straighted out for many reasons,but the main reason is somebody has given KEN the authority run that circus with out questioning his methods or anything else for that matter.I feel SORRY for the people trying to do their jobs under this clown. This guy reminds me of that kid that always got beat up on the way home from school,and now everyone else around him is paying for it.If the owner or someone with authority over KEN,would take a close look at the way he runs that show,I'm sure alot of things could be fixed.And I for one would be alot happier,and I'm sure I speak for other good people too.

Weekends Off? Try 35 to 45 days at time out on the road at a time!! Turn in a request for time off to still be driving at 1am on the second day i requeted to be off. Finally make it home to be called by Ken 11 hours later saying you need to go to work. I told him I needed time off. He then said, bottom line is that your truck is leaving the yard at 5am with or without you, I'm just trying to avoid throwing your ##### out of it!

 

I could not agree more. KEN has no accountability for his actions and definitely does not know how to speak to the drivers as human beings. Does not even treat us as if we have the mentality of a dog!!

 

So let's get this straight, it's a horrible company and you DO NOT recommend them but as you wrote that post you were currently working for them? And not only that but you were working for them for over 4 months? Why wouldn't you quit sooner? I'm not questioning how bad this company is but I do question your character for staying while preaching to others to not to.

 

Same to you buddy, 8 months? I don't think I could put up with their **** for 1 week. The way they operate is NOT normal. Trucking companies are supposed to have money for fuel, they are supposed to run equipment in good working order, they are supposed to have competent dispatchers, they are supposed to give you a check on time without fail. Yet they don't but somehow they have men/women driving these trucks for them while getting treated like dog crap. I don't understand it. Is it because they are getting away with it so they continue?

 

The first 5 post show between 5 and 12 years experience, with this kind of experience you should be able to get hired on anywhere?, If this company is as bad as you claim?, Why do you stay?, Or is you driving history and/or record to horrible to get a better job?, just wondering

 

Im not putting with any of that ####,not even 1 day,they screw with my pay,i will leave the truck parked on the side of the road,600 miles away from the yard,plain and simple.Why u drivers still driving for them for almost 4 mo,unreal.
