I'm in their training program now for almost a month and looking to get a different company to take me on and give me a chance. Werners training program is a joke, I'm waiting to get my fourth trainer and Ive done nothing wrong. The first one got fired for running on a student's log time. Maybe that was the first red flag.
Then the second one abandoned me when I got bronchitis on his truck and he wouldn't take me to the hospital. Werners joke of a safety team wouldn't do anything about it. I had to call a ambulance to get to the hospital. He was told not to leave with the load after the perimedics got there cause now they know im seriously sick. 4 o'clock in the morning after waiting around the hospital sense 12, i finally get to a hotel room i had to pay for myself along wih the cab ride.
After waiting around for two days, a GH bus ride later and another day of waiting in a roach motel, I get a third trainer. I had him for two days and he expected to run me ragged all night and get pissed off at me when I pulled over to take a break in the middle of the night, like say, 3 o'clock in the morning. So he called to get me off his truck and get someone who could just start driving all night long without adjusting to it. Now I'm on some safety hold cause that trainer wanted to cover his arss and say I've been drinking energy drinks and having a sugar crash.
So if your thinking of going to Werner, don't unless yo really don't want to be a trucker. I'm thinking of going to KLLM. Anyone have any thoughts on them?

Not surprising. They have a lot of trainers who are rookies themselves. I dislike bad trainers, they are a black eye to trucking.
But a word of caution. To get your experience in this industry you have to suck it up for the first year. My trainer didn't allow me to put my stuff in the truck. Had to go in the sidebox of a 9400. Wasn't allowed to touch anything of his ie cb radio, cooler, xm, bunk.
Get strong, and get through training wherever you land.Kash6972 Thanks this. -

Four trainers in less then a month, thats a trainer a week.KLLM won't work out, you'll go thru trainers there as well.Sounds to me like your skin is a bit too thin for trucking.

huh? 1st trainer got fired for running on someone elses log time. 2nd abandons ol' boy at the hospital. And the 3rd one sounded like a crackhead, but uhhhh yea. It must be HIS skin that is too thin.
Yea Kash6972, what were you thinking? Why would you think you should be treated with respect or something.
Give me a break! Just because you're a truck driver doesn't mean you have to be an xxxxxxxLast edited by a moderator: Jul 9, 2012
