Thats right! If you have been considering going Conway Truckload, do yourself a BIG favor; DONT!. The miles are so terrible that you wont be able to make a living. Under 2000 miles a week is the norm and much of the time, your miles will be MUCH under 2000 miles a week. On average, you will be making from $400.00 to $550.00 a week, every week, and that is to be in the truck 24 hrs a day, seven days a week. Thats right, most of the time you will sit. And sit. And then get yet another short run. And then you will sit some more. I am not just speaking for myself; I am speaking on behalf of most of the drivers there, and that includes the drivers with alot of time with the company. For the record, I have a perfect driving record, have never been late, and I dont take any stops that aren't necessary. I hustle. And oh yeah, I have spoken with my FM and his supervisor. Alot. By all means, go to a local truck stop and speak to the Conway Truckload drivers. To all the future posters that will take exception to what I have just said, I ask, " How much is Conway Truckload paying you to lie on this forum"? Thats right kiddies, there are paid bloggers to post here, (these forums are the peoples voice, after all) and their main purpose is to keep you ignorant from politics to company practices. Again, go ask a driver... $400.00 to $550.00 a week. Every week.

Well, as I am sure you speak for the majority of Conway drivers, it seems like an open and shut case to me............How do we know you aren't being paid to lie since you seem to readily accuse others of doing the same?

Thats right! How do you know that I'm not paid? So please, dont take my word and check for yourself... go to any truck stop and personally speak with other Conway Truckload drivers!

I don't need to. I can go here and read from plenty of drivers who like Conway: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/con-way/

Of course there are those that are not happy. No surprise either. There are always people who fall on both sides of the aisle with any company.

Perhaps if you articulated your reasons a little more clearly (being specific) it would shed a little light on the situation.

Blanket statements rarely are true in any circumstance.

    1) Amazing that you posted about a month ago that you were interested in leasing on as an O/O at Conway...How much did they pay you for that post?
    2) Where do I sign up for blogger pay...I would like nothing better than to do 2000 mile per week and blog like crazy to make up for the mileage cut to get to 2000.
    3) $400 bucks translates to about 1100 mile at the 1 year pay level. I would have quit after 2 weeks at that pay scale. Been hanging around for 2 years now and still no blogger pay...go figure.

With due respect, you haven't told the whole truth. Don't know what it is in your particular case but I suspect you are doing something wrong and you would do better spending all that spare time in truck stops asking for advice rather than making up lies.

    Good luck to ya bud.

"....and if you're one of the first three-thousand to order, you'll also get a free Pocket Fisherman! Just pay processing and handling!"

(this was the first impression I got. That's right! I read the entire post! That's right!)

LOL@ this....anyone who has any time into this company knows this guy is full of it. I run so hard that I am usually running out of hours constantly. I hardly ever sit, unless at a border crossing. Everyone who drives a truck for a living knows that you are going to have bad weeks, and some people when they have bad weeks it gets them down and they post things on here that might not be entirely true. I would certainly invite anyone to talk to any Con-Way truckload driver just like the original poster says and ask them how there miles are. I guarantee most you talk to will say they really cant complain about miles. I dont doubt that everyone has bad weeks, I certainly have had my fair share, but 95% of all weeks that I am OTR the whole week I get over 2500 miles.

My friend does very well there, consistantly runnig good steady miles, quite often up against his 70... Loves it there, good dispatch, decent truck, an "older" Cascasia that has 400,000 on the clock of which he's responsible for 80,000 in 8 months... yup, sucks....

Only thing I wouldn't like is the 65mph... but that's just me....
