Stay away from this Virginia Tank line.
Piedmont of Yorktown in williamsburg, Va. They seem to be always hiring regional and some local. The reason is they suck to work for. The dispatcher can not tell the truth to save his life, and he is the best liar I have ever met. They pay a percentage of the load, but you will never know what the load pays, so you get screwed. You would be better off going to J.B. Hunt than work for these snakes. It is the kind of place that has shiny trucks with bad brakes. I watched my CSA score double in under a year. Thats why they are always hiring. Trust me, stay away from this place.

So it's their fault you drove a truck that had problems that would jack up your CSA points ? After 27 years of driving you should known what DOT is looking for in the inspection..Don't leave the yard with anything wrong that can raise your points...EVER ...

I have a hard time believing what you are saying. I worked for this company for five years and experienced none of what you are saying. They have top notch mechanics that come to Yorktown to service the trucks and also when the drivers go to Apex to load the shop is right down the road. Their equipment is top of the line and is well serviced. I have a feeling the problem is not with the company but possibly the poster. And one more thing, you said the dispatcher cannot tell the truth but he is the best liar you have ever seen. If that is the case, how do you know he is lying. Maybe they just won't tell you what you want to hear but instead tell you what you need to hear and you don't like it.

Throughout my time searching for a good company to work for, I check out safer.fmcsa.dot.gov
and check their records.
I also check out RipoffReport.com to see if they are on there.
Then I Google the company name and phone number(s), if I have them, and see what else comes up.
