C.R. England or England Logistics - BE CAREFULL WHEN BOOKING TRUCKS - NO SHOW UP.....
Just to let you know the experience I had with this company, which I found out from other brokers after the damage they cause us that we are not the only ones that had issues with trucks not showing up.
We booked 10 truck loads for our past Mother's Day season in May 2012, agreed on prices, gave details three weeks in advance, confirmed the loads, gave PO's with appointments and location to Walmart DC's in VA and NC.
Well my friends, NONE OF THE TRUCKS SHOWED UP!!! PHONE CALLS, MANGERS INVOLOVED , EXECUTIVES EMAILS- AND NOTHING !!!

2 days before the loading I get an email as they have difficulties to get the the trucks and over a million dollar value of product is waiting for their trucks to show up and load
We ended up paying hundresds of dollars extra to other companies to take the loads
so BE CAREFULL !!!
We are not truck brokers , we are the direct shipper (the vendor), and i want to let everybody know the experince i had with this company
BE AWARE !!!
WITH THIS POEPLE YOU NEED TO HAVE CONTRACT OR ANOTHER BACKUP COMPANY IN CASE THEY DONT SHOW UP !!!
Of course a lot of companies in Miami knows and heard about this situation we had.

The old saying of you get what you pay for applied here. I bet England was going to haul it cheap, weren't they? Always look to a smaller carrier first. Lessors, Florida's Beauty Express, Sunco, Heyl. These are medium sized companies who will come pick up your frieght as promised, all have Florida locations and take customers seriously. Don't forget that.

In defense of the Sons-o-Chester(CR England), it's hard to get your freight picked up and delivered with so many trucks abandoned all across the country by drivers tired of paying CRE to drive a truck.

Hey, I have an idea. Instead of using back-up when you book loads with England, just don't ever use them again for Any reason at all.

They don't treat their DM's (dispatchers) any better also. I heard one of their best driver managers in western regional got demoted over a dentist appointment. He got busted down to weekend DM and quit two weeks later after 8 years of faithful service.

When I drove for them, we would see "Load removed from Truck #9****" at the bottom. The thing is, if you searched on CRE's website for truck locations, those trucks came up as an invalid #. When you get to the customer on those loads, they'd be complaining that CRE had a truck breakdown, driver got sick, etc as why we were late showing up. Didn't take long to figure CRE was creating phony truck #s to list on loads that weren't dispatched for someone to pick up on time and blaming imaginary drivers for their failure to dispatch properly.
And other times, one particular female load planner (if you drove for CRE for more than a year, you've dealt with her, she doesn't work in the office, but from home) would always dispatch drivers so they would arrive late for appointments. This with the drivers sitting for hours waiting for dispatch only to receive the assignment with not enough time to drive the deadhead to the customer and were told "Oh, you can just show up late as a work-in, we do it all the time". Nice way to avoid paying detention and pissing off the customer. Or, that the assignment was just booked, but the load # was for one that was several days old.
