Maybe because she's tired of listening to someone's incessant whining.

And this is the kind of thing that happens when you get sucked into a Fleece Purchase...
If you would have done some research you would discover that NCI hired the clown from Prime who got them in such trouble with their Fleece Purchase program and as with all Fleece Purchase programs would have stayed away. Sorry for your bad choices.

A man's mother dies and that is all you have to say?

Sorry to hear about your mother and father Smitty.

The thing is you usually get about 3 days bereavement leave for your mothers passing.

As far as your father goes, by law you could take up to 12 weeks of medical leave to care for a family member. But you have to tell the company and get acknowledgement. You can't just disappear.

By your post I can't tell what communication went on. But if they approved it and still terminated you I would be doing my homework on the Federal Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Once approved they can't touch you for 12 weeks. At minimum they would have to reinstate you and pay you back pay.

Doing the fleece/purchase never/never scam doesn't entitle him to squat>he's a contractor NOT an employee.

Sorry, I missed that part but...

It depends what state you are from. Like IL law which I know for a fact because I lived and worked from there, the lease must come from a 3rd party in order to be considered a contractor. If the company provides a lease truck, controls how you use it, how you maintain it and you can only drive for them, you are then considered an employee.
There's an IL statute that says about the same thing. It's been awhile since I've read it.

I would have to research his particular state. Some companies even offer employee benefits to the lease purchasers. How can you do that if they ain't employees?

I would definitely check into it further. For the most part most are rip off artist.
