I wanted to inform many of the drivers out there that this company it would appear is in trouble. Many of their accounts were piled on Transfrieght and over the last few months they have been in real trouble. Several other strong companies including Carter Express have been trying to reach out to their small fleet of great drivers and even offering 1200 dollar sign on bonuses, better pay and great routes. The owner of BD has in the last week sent out childish and weird Qualcomm messages that as one driver put it "The rantings of a mad man". BD is small and I have never really had issues with the owners except the usual problems drivers have with some companies but in the last few months things have taking an ominous turn and in my humble opinion,if you are a BD driver your best bet would be to take one of these offers or you might find yourself on unemployment. I know some of his messages have some scared but believe me,you are not being told the whole truth as he has denied losing routes all along but waits until the last minute to tell everyone, what he has known for months.Just trying to look out for many of you.

Seems many drivers are leaving BD for Carter Express and some are waiting till the last minute to give BD notice and I for one do not blame them.

Hello rollingweird, I am the "rantings of a mad man" identified in your thread of 8.21.12. I am also John Douglas, owner of BD transportaion, email john@bdtransport.com. I am not hiding behind the message board as you are. Let me help correct some of your facts. You have no idea what your are talking about. BD is not in trouble and Transfreight is not in trouble. What has happend is a normal cycle of business in trucking and transportation. Carter does what trucking companies do, they chopped the rate and they took business away from another provider. It happens pretty much every day. The only thing I had to do was to protect myself and my company from Carter hiring my drivers. You, apparently, are the newest Carter puppet and recruiter. I am pretty sure that I know who your are. I have no respect for third party companies who try to hire drivers from the assest based carriers who are contracted to them. My only warning is to any assest carrier working for Carter, trust me on this, they will hire your drivers to fill their own seats. Carter is the suspect company, not BD, not Transfreight.

Here are the real facts, Carter beat the Transfreight rate and got the buiness. BD had a commitment to handle the business until September 30. We could have pulled out early but we did not, the trick was to fullfil our commitment and try not to have Carter hire our drivers out from underneath us, of course I went on a campaign to present my side with a bit of passion. I built this company from 5 trucks to 58 trucks in 12 years and I was not going to lose it to the underhanded dealings of Carter. With the loss of this contract, it displaced 22 of my 58 trucks. That was quite a challenge for us. However in spite of your best efforts we lost 5 drivers to Carter. One team that I greatly respect and miss, 2 single drivers, one of which surprised me I thought he would stay. The other single driver I do not blame at all for trying Carter, I did not have a regular route for him near his home once Toyota went over to Carter. I wish the 4 of them well, they all did a nice job for us. The final driver was part of a team, and was kind of the narrow minded loud mouth drivers you hear about once in a while. We made no effort to try to keep him. I wonder which of the 5 driver you are? Hmmmm......

As for job security and the truth about routes, we did retain Behr as you mentioned in your second post. You were completely wrong on this one. We actually kept all of our existing routes and gained an additional 2 routes. On to the transition of our 22 trucks once we fullfilled our Toyota committment. That was a challenge, that is a lot of trucks to move at one time and keep the drivers happy. Are we 100 percent successful in keeping the drivers happy, I would say no. But are we 100% successful in keeping the drivers employeed? Yes. If you had local before, you still have local. If you had a dedicated team route before you have a dedicated team route now. If you were running OTR dedicated before you are still running OTR dedicated. Are the routes perfect? Of course not, are we working to improve the, yes you can count on it.

Transfreight awarded us 12 new routes for 12 of the trucks. (By the way, we are awarded our second Carrier of the Year by Transfreight 2 weeks ago, pretty good for a lying underhanded company, wouldn't you say good buddy). That left 10 trucks to move. As we said before, Behr which we are going to lose according to your second post of 8.23.12 actually took 2 more, 8 trucks to go. The third party who awarded us Behr put 3 trucks on another account that they have, 5 trucks to go. Are you still with me rollingwierd? I know the math is getting hard for you now. OK 5 to go, another 3rd party that we work with in Cincinnati added 2 more trucks. 3 to go. These 3 are the trucks that the 5 drivers who went to Carter were in. They are still empty but they are starting on a new round trip account on Monday October 29, Indianapolis IN to Kings Mountain NC, 3 round trips per day. I don't think I lied about losing any other routes or any drivers. This is just an adjustment we go through from time to time. From the looks of things, the only liar on this post is you. You said I was lying about losing routes and lying to the drivers.

If you want to talk about things you know where to find me. You have the advantage of hiding behind the message board. Have a nice day.

I love how truck drivers think they know everything about contracts and inner office dealings.

I respect your honesty but the first response was to tag the user,, you likely not? when someone realized the mistake . Whom ever it was got an ### chewing for you to show up ,logic dictates that .Thats a fact Its appearent you came to save that situation ..This forum is not a game room and the owner and the admins see where the post's are coming from . Any one with any network know how will figure it out /.
None the less I comend you for coming here to tell the truth about rates and what not ..
Your someone i would want to work for.
With that being said Have a great day, month an quarter .

    Yes we see that lol
None the less a poster gave out personal hr info about former drivers and where they went to work in effect potential private information gained from employment verifications that should never be revealed. In a public venue . The user also didn't mention any names directly as to mitigate any liability.
This is a lesson in taking the high road and walking a very fine line .
I do however appreciate his honesty:)

Hm, go figure... thought it strange someone naming himself "idiotdriver" anyway...

If the owner likes to play games like this regarding his company's image on a forum, maybe it Is a company to avoid...
