I stay out on the road for weeks and weeks at a time trying to get ahead, and never seem to be able to accomplish that. I work the weekends because that's what makes or breaks the week. All week dispatch knows that I'm working the weekend, and when Friday comes they haven't even started looking for my weekend lineup. So I have to call dispatch all day and @ 5pm (that's when the day shift leaves)... No loads! I have to hustle loads hoping that another truck driver can't deliver his loads, or a truck breaks down. In those cases the rate on them most of the time are pretty bad. So week after week of being shafted my settlements are in the negative. Like last week $-1759.00... I would have got a check this week but it went toward what I owed. still not bringing it to $0.00. I had some maintenance issues so I sit from Sunday until Tuesday morning (having to sit at the terminal on labor day) waiting for the shop guys to come in. I needed an EGR valve, a new wiper assembly and a seal replaced in the input side of the front differential. they sit arround on it until Thursday morning and tell me they had to see if they where going to fix it or put me into another lease truck. I went off on them because I put money into a maintenance account for them to fix the truck when things go wrong... Fix it I tell them, and that's what they are doing now. Now a whole week without any work... Guess what No check next week either. I would like to get a driving job that is worth going to. not feel like I'm out here to buy fuel and stay away from my wife and kids. It's almost to the point now that we may lose our home, and since our car died last year... havent had enough money to even get a crappy used beat up car. THAT'S PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay away from fleece purchase!!!!!.....there's a really good reason why they wanted to fleece that truck...look at the problems it's having...they thought its better to have you pay for it then them..

Get out of the fleece programs if you want to support your family!

Just for anyone that reads this in the future, if you live around Atlanta the Fairburn Transcorr yard is different. There are NO company drivers out of the Fairburn yard, all O/O and L/P. The trucks run good miles every week and are offered being home every weekend. The Fairburn Safety Manager, JC, is good about solving driver problems, he usually has his fridays devoted to solving any settlement problems drivers had, and he answers the phone to help drivers 24/7.

During the winter storms this year he was even about to jump in his pick up and run to Birmingham to pick up a driver that had crashed his truck on the ic on US-78.

As another poster mentioned, although it's an O/O company there are several people that own a fleet of trucks that you can drive for, and they do really good, actually one of the guys that does that owns about 10 trucks right now and has 3 of my fellow Firefighters driving for him.

I do know they have a terrible brokerage also. Called and agreed on a rate on a load from McCalla,Al to Champaign,Il. I asked three times to make sure that the delivery was a live unload because I do not have any extra trailers and they said it was. I get to Kraft in Champaign on Friday afternoon and it is supposed to be a drop and hook and they say my trailer won't be unloaded until Monday sometime. I call Transcorr and they say it is not their problem and the most they will give me is $100 to wait for my trailer. After 12 hours I finally talked Kraft into unloading it but had already cancelled my reload and it is tough to book a load on Saturday. Won't ever run another load for them again.

Where you talking to Indy dispatch or Fairburn dispatch? Fairburn Dispatch is good about getting loads.
