I second that I was with a trainer for six weeks supporting his family while he watched movies in the back I drove 15000 miles in 6 weeks which made him 5690 dollars while I was making 200 a week with a wife and kids at home that ain't nothing I finally got my own truck which had all it's shelves cut out by the previous operator I I had to have the truck jumped to get it to start the first time and the mechanic put the jumper cables on backwards so after the smoke cleared it started anyway I had to put in the shop right away the storage boxes under the steps wouldn't stay closed I was off on my first run I got into Nebraska in a rain storm and my wipers stopped working after dealing with that through two states I got into Illinois and the truck broke down so I call breakdown and Karen answers she starts arguing with me on my location I'm standing in the pouring rain trying to give her an exact address I tripped on a curb and I cursed with her on the phone she hung up on me and called my DM and told him I cursed at her after sitting overnight at a mechanic shop my load was relayed and being 100 miles from home I asked to get routed by my house like we were all promised in orientation I was out for 6 weeks supporting somone elses family I hadn't seen my kids even though my trainer went home almost every week while I got to sit at a hotel one time for four days any they refused to route me towards my house until they realized I was only a hundred miles away so after hometime I took my truck to the greenbay terminal where the mechanic foremen had to go to bat for me so they didn't charge me for the shelves being cut out so two weeks of running short loads and my trucks stop engine light flashing in my truck I quit and haven't received a single pay check from them anyone who doesn't believe me I'll show you my bank statement the only money my account saw was 81 dollars and I ran several thousand miles I'm hiring a lawyer so please stay away from this horrible company students especially there's more then just me this has happened too

Take it easy amigo you are going to have a aneurysm. What you have experienced is trucking my friend. I've had wipers go out, and dead batteries. The trainer is not suppose to drive. You are suppose to do the driving. Now that you quit. The next company you go to. You will have to go back in some trainers truck for a couple more weeks, and then you will be able to judge how bad it was. I been there for over 2 years and I have not been treated like crap, but I know I have heard it does happen. I think your expectations may have been to high. Trucking companies don't hold your hand through every little thing. You will see at the next company you go to as well. Live and learn my friend. Hope your next adventure turns out better, but I promise you. If you go in with big expectations you will be doing the same kind of post after a few weeks at your next company. Have a good night.

You can't expect to be treated like an experienced driver from day one. You're a newbie. They ain't gonna give you a new truck with no experience and no track record. A junk truck usually puts you in front of the line for a new truck.

It sounds like you copped an attitude and it snowballed. Something that is common and very easy to do with new drivers. You knew what training entailed and you agreed. Now you complain? You have to give the job a fair chance until you know the industry.

You tough it out, be easy going, likeable and do the dirty work and you'll see everything get better. If the attitude is like in your post then you might as well find another career.

I'm not saying they are a good company but you need to learn the ropes. Complaining just makes things worse.

Didn't the truck have satellite communications? It gives your location. Did you pretrip the strange truck and check the wipers? Did you check the fuse?

When you get a used truck, there will be fixing things right off the bat. While the truck is shop bound there will be short runs until everything is weeded out.

Your a Greenhorn you are gonna bow to the company and like it. You didn't get to see your family boo hoo! I haven't seen mine for 20 Years missing birthdays, holidays, deaths you name it. While I was hauling everything under the sun so you could go to the store. Man Up!

I do find it odd you didn't get paid. I'm not sure if JBS does it. Some companies if you don't stay 60 days will take the cost of the bus/plane ticket and motel room out of your pay. I don't think that was active when I got hired, but that may be a reason for your short or no pay and if you took out any cash advances. I had a 100 dollar lumper receipt that wasn't paid on this check. I called and said they did get it but 4 got add it. So it will be on next check. Took 5 minutes and was painless. I know our check stubs can be hard to understand but I know I had to help another driver the other day with his so if you want to pm me or if you do recall them saying they take out the transportation/hotel money if you don't last 60 days then that may be the problem.
