Westside in cedar rapids has just as big a turnover as crst and driver managers do not work with you on hometime or getting you good miles

I have to say that is one of the worst companies I worked for in 2007. I hired in OTR and it started out okay at 42 cpm. Then the company decided to corner the short haul market. Long runs turned into 250-300 miles a day and weekly miles quickly dropped to 1700. I put up with it for seven months. After discussing with senior dispatcher Johnny H. my miles his great people person solution was "If you don't like it, QUIT"! "Fine, bring me in". I turned the truck in as planned and clean. I had to pay my own way home and 3 years later I found out they trashed my DAC with a quit under load which never happened. I disputed it and won. If you like truck stops, go there! :)

I had the blessing of working at West Side NOT!!! I was on the 500 mile club cause I lived in Cedar Rapids. Trained with a guy name Tyler and he sucked. A pretty boy way above himself. Wouldn't allow me to drive in the dark, Would leave me when I would be almost to the terminal, and he would drive on my log. We would leave Cedar Rapids at 2 am and he would allow me to drive on our return trip which usually started at around 1 or 2 PM! And he would tell me NOT to fall asleep!!! I lasted 3 weeks and couldn't take anymore BS.

LOL if I was driving then YES I agree but I would be in the passenger seat 12 hrs just riding! That's when he would demand I stay awake. After 12 hrs of just riding I would have to drive 6-7 hrs back to the terminal and he would sleep the entire way back!!!!
