If a company was consistently like that, having their trucks run that low amount of miles, they wouldn't be making enough profit to continue business.

I wonder when they will end up having to reduce fleet size because they over expanded too quickly.

Tango is far from being a typical trucking company.

One only has to look at the amount of scrap paper hauled, then stored, to understand this better.

To fully comprehend Tango's operation. You need a working knowledge of the "recycling" industry, as well as the trucking industry.

And of course, it never hurts to have a HUGE insurance policy on warehouses.

This is interesting on the on goings of the recycling industry. Could you maybe expand on this and the role tango play's in this ..
To be exact how this may effect future tango driver's?

Never drove for Tango....so not sure how big of a roll they play. But I HAVE worked in the garbage/recycle industry, and I know this much: There is a lot of money in the recycling industry....but not so much for those who move it.

    From the beginning:

1). Consumers either PAY to get rid of it, or donate it...depends on your area and resepticle, and collection process.

2). Garbage/Recycling companies get paid to collect it and take it to a transfer/sort facility (by consumers & business').

3). Recycling facility gets paid to sort and organize the different materials (i.e.- paper, cardboard, glass, tin, metal, plastic, etc...) by selling said materials.

4). Then here is where Tango, and others come in. Trucks take materials to facilities to turn raw material into sellable products such as paper plants to make rolls, or plastic plants to make beads...etc.

5). Then Tango, and others haul finished raw materials to facilities that buy it, and use it to make stuff WE buy.

6). Then it is hauled from those factory/facilities to places that consumers gather to purchase finished products...i.e. - stores.

So; you see there are six steps in the process of turning garbage into useable product. I believe these guys are saying that Tango has there hand in two of the six steps---unfortunately, the two steps (4 & 5 above) they seem to be concentrating on (according to these posters), are the two cheapest steps in the process. Tango NEEDS to be doing more of step six, and less of step four.

Sorry; that's the best I can do.
And if Tango is "storing it"....they must be buying it, and renting or buying storage facilities. Not sure what that means.

I'll give you a little bit.....

International Paper plays a huge role in the health and well being of Tango.

Remove that account, then look at their business model.

For me to go any further, would invite a libel/slander case. But there are some things/events in their past, that are suspicious at best.

I will tell you this. Recycling is a HUGE money maker, for those who know how to work the system.

One more thing, did you ever notice some scrap loads had "Tango Logistics" on the BOL?? Then it was transported and stored at a TANGO warehouse, well until the mill was needing ALOT of product then the local guys would run to the mill 24/7...all the while "some" scrap loads HAD to go straight to the mill even if there was a line 20 trucks deep??

Oh and scrap cardboard is REALLY Flammable aint it??? Just ashame it happened right when that place was at FULL capacity and they were already looking new warehouse space....................................
