All I have to say is 5 weeks of bell. Three different trucks (because their so called new trucks kept breaking down) three different driver managers ( one good one and two loooooosers). Here's Tue deal they will promise you 2500 miles a week, be prepared to be lied to. No orientation pay, got to fight to get what you earn. Don't let them fool you and waste any time there like I did. Here's the clincher, 5 weeks of service and only 1400$ in pay do the math, horrible.

I would give your post credibility if you were there 6-12 months.

People get off to rough starts. That doesn't mean bail after 5 weeks

The new trucks breaking down is a real problem, but not just at Tango. You've got to factor that into the equation. I had issues with one here at Crete that absolutely cost me miles for the time I was in it.

Now, three different driver managers in such a short span? Cause for concern.
No orientation pay: Was that known to you (is it a policy), or are we talking about having difficulty in receiving it? Two different things.....

His post will look the same........ Tango just simply sucks.

Men of honor and character have no need to lie. Nor do they have any business, running a business.

If I didn't have a wife and three kids I would have the luxury of giving a company more time but when u can't feed your kids its time to make a move.

And not one of my three trucks was new all 3year old beat up junk.

    True that....

My mother kept track of my finances while I was with Tango (before and after). She called me at the 6 month mark, and told me if I stayed with them another 6. I would have to sell something, to continue paying the bills.

    And MY bills ain't jack.

Anyone thinking of going to Tango. Should take a look at this.

My monthly bills -- Less groceries, gas, and cigarettes. Equal $600 a month..... that's everything I owe. Lights, gas, water, phone...etc.

I'm working 14 on 7 off with my current company and I am paying those bills.

I was going in the hole, with Tango.

At a large company that I drove for a number of years ago I was the designated "break in guy". got a new truck every couple of months and just when I worked all of the bugs out I got another brand new one. New trucks have things go wrong. Fact of life.

Are you saying you made less than $600 a month? What were your total bills? I find it hard to believe that over a 2 month span a person at any trucking company that wants to put it down the road would average less than $300/week.

No...I'm saying I could not pay that $600. And maintain my living standards.

I'm not partial to a bean and rice diet, while sitting on my couch 24/7 when I'm home.

If other people would PAY full cost for their OWN insurance for their OWN children. The cost of MY cigarettes would drop by 75%...... which is only about $250 a month.

75% of the cost of a pack of cigarettes (in my state and others) is DIRECTLY related to the state and federal subsidized children's health care program. In New York....50% of the cost....line politicians pockets and pet projects.

The have nots of this country, need to get off their ### and take care of their own. Instead of ######## about someone spending their OWN hard earned money on things they desire or want.

So which is truely worse? My smoking habit....or a bunch of leeches living in my wallet.

Your right about tango! I started with them Nov. 2011. And was promised miles.lol. I wanted to stay out on the road, didnt need any home time, yet they just didnt give me any miles. They have the work. Just dont have Driver Managers that really cared if you got miles or not (not all of them) I spent a lot of my time waiting in line at the terminal to get PM ont brand new truck. This usually made me late for pick up or my delv. Other wise it wouldbe a pretty good company.I brought home $300.00 a week.
