I have read alot of good things, talked with recruiter, but of course they all make it sound like disney land... Hey man, I've been with them for 3 years now. On a scale of 1 thru 10.....I would say its a 9! I say that only cause there is'nt a perfect company out there. The people there are nice and treat you well. I can tell you that if you want to make some money, it can be made here. If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to try and answer them.

    oltexasboy Thanks this.

This is a terrible company to lease your truck to. The guy giving them 9 out of 10 must be their recruiter. If you want to deal with 5 different dispatchers, spring ride trailers, basically forced dispatch, always very heavy loads, etc... Don't waste your time thinking that you'll run good produce loads out of California and good meat loads back. Because surprise you'll run dirt cheap dry loads to Amarillo maybe a frozen load whenever they can't get their regular guys to do them, that's when you get them. And you get the left over meat loads that other decent companies don't do because they have a whole bunch of drops usually 5 drops and they want you to run them overnight. You always have to be cheating on your log book heavily to be able to bring home a little money. Their yard in Amarillo is very muddy so when it rains your truck is always dirty inside and out and you usually can get your truck stuck in the mud at night when there is nobody to help you. If you don't want to do a load because you just don't want to because it's no force dispatch then surprise they get another dispatcher to convince you so if you're a Latino they have the Mexican dispatcher call you. If you're going to take time off at home you're better off lying to them and tell them that your truck is in the shop and turn off your phone because they always call you asking you to load. Their trailers are configured to work on continuos at over 34° so that means you spend more money on reefer fuel and you pay for it. The free tire program is a total lie. You have to run 3 months like crazy to qualify for them and then you must sign a one year lease agreement with them and you must have another owner- operator that recommend you. If nobody recommended you, that's no problem because they just grab another new guy and ask him if he wants to get the "FREE TIRES" so that they can get you both stuck with a one year agreement and now you're stuck with them for one year. And you pay the taxes on the tires with is usually $750.00 and by the way you get cheap Chinese tires. I have meet several guys that lost their trucks because they couldn't afford their payments. Their good loads they give to their regular guys, and you only get to do them when they're servicing their trucks or when they're gone out for fishing etc.. The rest of the time you get the left overs. I can go on and on ad on telling you how terrible this company is. The only way I recommend you this company is if you have a terrible driving record and nobody will hire you or if you just got your CDL. They will hire you because they don't care! Do yourself a favor and stay away from Booker.

I just left this company they are right, it promises a lot, but the reality is that they do not have good organization their is no one to help after 5:00 pm and wen you call sometimes they answer and sometimes they just don’t and if they do takes 5 or 6 hrs before they contact you sometimes. No support, trailers are old and not in good conversation almost all the time, they don’t pay the next day as they advertise or like in my case you just don’t get pay at all.
I got hit whit 3 loads that I did not got pay.
There LED guy is a DUSH there entire Sistem is bad and if you make a mistake or the LED kiks you out of PC or OFF duty they get mad, if you try to get help same.
If anything Goes rung whit their equipment they will blame you
OR your equipment whit out question.
Your take home will be between 11 or 16 hundred but if they like you you will make more upside to the amarillo area is gossip he or she said there not berry professional.
Wen installing ELD they will tear yours and wen they take it out they get mad and don’t care how they leave it.
A advice is that if they can plug it in as it is don’t let them do it at all.
And make sure you find something else before you leave or they will bad malt you so you can find something else.
Over all not a good experience this company will sail and that’s it

I drove for them in the 90s fresh out of school. 2 months in they had me hauling swing meat from Colorado to California.

They dont care about drivers, only how hard they can run you for as little as they have to pay you.

I had multiple 5k weeks as a solo for peanuts. I dont believe they would have improved with time.

Do not sign on with Booker. They don't have the consistent freight they claim and the rates are very low. They can't keep anyone and the loads they do have are always heavy or overweight. They are the only company I know who sues O/O for leaving even after Booker keeps your pay from your last load. Most companies lie to lure but BOOKER is king snake!
