Yea 2 a month right?? Well #### run broker loads the rest of the month!!
KoolKid Thanks this. -
Got tired of the cancellations on the loads is why. Good luck w them maybe it will play out better w you at the company.
-
I know they was talkibg about changing it before I left. When I was there you can haul 3 broker loads and 1 of there's without penalty

Tobytob, how's it going man. I have a question about fuel surcharge if you don't mind.
Say I take a load to Cali, terminal run for $1.05, do they add surcharge on top of that and if so, is it included in total before you leave. Reason for being is say I want a 50% advance for fuel and what not. 1.05 rate total from where I live would be total $2300, but including surcharge that total will be $3600.
Also, I'm starting with rr out of Atlanta this week, orientation wed and thur. Driving for 13 years but this will be my first oo adventure
thanks in advance, Sammy -
Sammy, fuel surcharge is always added into the terminal rate, therefore if the rate is 1.05 fav is $.44, which bumps the rate up too $1.49. So if your total is $3600, they will give you 60% of that up front.
Good luck, atl should treat you well since you run out of there. I'm not a fan of that terminal!!KoolKid Thanks this. -
Awesome! Appreciate the prompt response

What part of the country are you from brother! I am considering Lease purchase with RR until I get my own truck. Any thoughts on L/P. I should have enough by next May and was thinking about getting started with RR because I would like to get some experience in brockering my own loads. I use to be with JCT enjoyed being my own boss just did not like dispatched loads!
-
Can anyone give me any info on RRTS/M Bruenger? I am thinking about leasing a truck through Arrow and haul reefer for M Bruenger. Any input would be appreciated.
-
Txqtrucker, I had a friend leave RRTS and go over to mbruenger, he was back at RRTS in 3 months. He stated the loads paid great, but they didn't want to run him, everything was ks-tx,il,in,ga and back KS. He hated it.
I live in the north east, I do well with RRTS, but I think I'm going to move
on with my own authority. As stated I just wanted to use this as a stepping stone, to see if I could handle dealing with brokers.
RRTS is good though. I wouldn't touch a lease purchase truck, just my
opinion!i would hate to get tied to RRTS for all those years or that truck.
If you read thru this thread I talked about it. Other than that all else is good if your willing to do it your way and not theirs!Last edited: Nov 26, 2013
