they were just bought out by riverside transport and obliterated within months. i watched 100 plus drivers leave in less then 2 months. they fired all there mechanics, shut down mt.pleasant terminal, yanked us all from our trucks to put us in old nasty ones and all there runs turned into riverside runs (from 11-1300 mile runs to 500) just a warning for anyone wanting to go there and for heavens sake dont fleece there or just learn on your own once they sweet talk you into some riverside loads . wish these companies would organize things better before destroying such nice companies. hope anyone that is still there makes it out alive and good luck everyone else

This is interesting....there is a guy, Ghetto Child, over on the good company forum talking about how great Transco is. I was thinking about calling them as I live near San Antonio and he said Transco does a lot of loads in and out of Texas.
I have since been hired by Furniture Row Express and am no longer looking at Transco, but I appreciate your info. -
You watched all 100 drivers quit?
OOwannaBE and ghettochild Thank this. -
It is not a company a team would want to work for. You cannot expect the miles they promise or the sign-on bonus on their website. If you have a problem, no one will return your calls. They wait until you are unloaded to even begin looking for a load for you, unless you continually bug them. We quit, and cleaned the truck cleaner than it was when we got into it. Why would you leave a truck dirty for the next driver, when they had nothing to do with why you quit!

If this is true, its hard to believe. I was talking to a recruiter named Jerry, and his replies to my questions seemed to put this company high on our list of possible hires. My wife and I are the real deal; completely legit, and we do not want to waste our time or money going through what we went through at transport America. I have been scouring the net for other information, but I cant even find the merge with riverside transport. Any more info out there?

The person that owns Riverside owns TLI and yes they pull each others freight.

Thanks for that, I really hate to hear it. We really want to work somewhere that is a legitimate team company. I get it that every job will have some troubles; heck, its a road job and the road has bumps, right? Still, I'm not going to destroy our health and happiness by driving for a company that strings a bunch of 300 to 600 mile runs together and calls it team freight giving you 1300 mile runs every now and then. We are a stable, proven team with professional integrity that is proven by every metric that I know of, and will just hang on until we find a company that is the same. Thank you for that info, its very hard to find any of this anywhere else.

Ya sorry to be the bearer of bad news. From what I have read from here is that the drivers were happy until Bill bought the company. While I was at Riverside in the 12 short week that I could take. I only averaged 2400 miles a week as a solo L/P and the communication was very problematic. I know no company you work for is perfect, but when the owner tells you he is going to do something and forgets. That's a major red flag! I was raised that you gave another man your word and your word was gold. I guess time have really change! I got the run around on more issues than you could shake a stick at. I should have walked away from the table when JCT called me, but I thought I would give them the 90 days they asked for. Well i made it 6 days shy. I just couldn't bleed profits any more! A man that keeps bleeding will eventually die. The last 6 week were so problematic, we just don't have enough time for me to tell them to you.
If you create a time machine, let me know! I'll be glad to test it! -
yes wheen you only run for 2-3 shippers and run the same routes as tge other drivers and notice the road is clean of them then there is a problem. i talked to and am friends with alot of the drivers also. they talk about there friends to me,etc etc.a very close friend of mine also worked there and she is a "social butterfly" so notices things such as 50 trucks at the terminal that sat there 2 weeks.
