Easily the biggest misconception is that drivers seem to think those delivery times are set in stone. When I get a load like that I simply give my eta to pickup and deliver it. 90% of the time I'm told to pick it up and run as far as I can with it and they will try to repower (swap) it. Unless it's a national account that is really important to them, they tell me to get it there as fast as I legally can and they will reschedule a new delivery time. I could never understand why drivers can't comprehend this area.
