I wouldn't say that they are a "bad company" but, They don't exactly tell you the factual truth. #1= they have excellent equipment and keep up on the maintenence of it. The problems start when you are told that you will have to stay out for min 2 weeks. Now this in itself is not bad but, when you only get 2100 to 2200 miles aweek on 7days, that's the problem. That's 300 to 350 miles a day average. You see they haul alot of meat for the packing house that does chicken and beef. You haul from one location to the other and sometimes to wally world dcs. It's not unusual to set at one of the packing plants 24 to 36 hours and get no compensation. #2= They have little tattle tales set up in the qualcom units that let them know when you exceed posted speed limits and they send out a report and name these people every day to the entire fleet. #3= Other than a few exceptions, most of the dispatchers and recruiting personnel are a bunch of wise guys ( can't say exact phrase because of language) and treat most drivers with little respect.
This is evident in orientation(should have walked out then) when they use intimidations verbage and threats to make you afraid to do anything. This company has a revolving door and will not keep good caliber drivers because of these antics. They told me that I was to hard to please when I kept saying that I need more than 2000 miles a week when i am out 14 days. They told me to clean my truck out, said you got 30 minutes and leave the property. Would not give me ride to the trk stop, had to walk and carry all the bags and stuff. If your thinking about this company Do yourself a favor and pass on them. There are too many other carriers that will treat you with the respect you deserve. #4= any claims, tractor damage, late charges, and out of route miles will end up costing you big money. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!!!!!! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEMSELVES!!!!! THE TRUCK DRIVER THAT STARTED THIS COMPANY HAS FORGOTTEN WHERE HE CAME FROM AND WORD WILL GET AROUND!!!!!!! Mass exodus is occurring now.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!

Name names.... -
sound like KB transport
drvrtech77 Thanks this. -
I drive for kb transportation.Been there over a yr.I talk to OTR drivers all the time and can't recall any of them not liking kb and most these guys have been with the company for yrs. They say their dispatcher keeps them running. The more you complain about the miles the less miles you'll receive.Of course they get slow weeks but that applies to any company, especially reefer.Does'nt kb have a guarantee of $950.00 a week no matter how low the miles are?Of course there's strings attached like you have to be available for a load.

It does sound like them. I had called them when I moved and they wasted my time on the phone luckily. They advertise for drivers in my area all the time with their "guaranteed" pay. It is laughable at best.

this is their newest ad. They do have that but it has to be a less amount of mileage during a week, but hay I am sure they will surprise you with a load that will put you over that limit and keep your paycheck under that 950.Last edited: Mar 29, 2013
