Staybusytrucker,
they only put on there that i didn't complete the training ,sense then i went on to get training from a more reputable co.
The good thing was that i completed the drop for the load that we were under which brought me closer to my hometown, about 40min. Away actually so i called my wife to pick me up.
I just feel that trainers teaching new truckers should take into consideration of how the other person feels. We are grown men!!! Should you have to be engaged with this type of ignorance? I don't care if you have 6yrs. Or 60yrs. Of experience if the guy says he's not comfortable with something shouldn't the trainer atleast take it into consideration? Agree or disagree!!!

I would not work for PTL if they paid a dollar a mile......they are out for themselves and themselves only they do not care about the driver what so ever

Go to work for them and you will see why everyone is so disgruntled.

Well yeah if your not happy in any aspect of your trainers habits or his attitude you have the right to dump him and get another one most companies would have brought you back asap to the terminal and get you a new trainer I was just curious of your situation. But if you left without the company fixing the problem then thats another issue in itself im sure that person you talked to on the phone was not the final word guy but I suppose those who are not from the field of transportation doesn't off hand realize that.It definitely would have been better if you have had a mentor in the business that could of walked you along for support but I see where you have succeeded some where else and in a short time it will be off your dac just chalk it up as a lesson learned...

So, you brought your pregnant girlfriend and that's their problem? Interesting.

The trucking industry is the hardest industry to get used to within your first year. The driver turnover rate is out of sight for first year drivers. You have to live like a hobo, low wages etc. If you're looking for respect its not out here. Trucking companies, Fuel stops, Shippers, Receivers a lot of them will treat you like some kind of second class citizen not to mention the US DOT. The best advice that I can give newbies is bite your pride and ride the first year out. With what ever trucking company you choose to train with.
