I just want to say this is my experience with them..-
Orientation-they pay for a nice hotel (you will pay for if you quit)
All equipment assigned to you locks, steering lock, air pressure gauge, temp gauge, (you will pay for anytime you change status within their company) check your payroll statement anytime you decide to change status like going solo to team or to local or flex fleet program or quit. I went to flex fleet program and got charged for equipment that i still had. It took 3weeks to get money back. They have serious issues with payroll. Anytime they deduct something it is such a hassle to get your money back. Keep track of anything you get from them in orientation. My team mate got charged for equipment he never got. They told him he was assigned it but wasn't, I had all the equipment because I started with the company first then we teamed.
Also the sliding pay scale...you never know what you actually make because it changes every payroll settlement, very confusing and no straight answers. Your hire pay is constantly changing.
Talking to payroll is a constant circle no one knows the answer when they owe you money. It's a giant circle jerk!
Also trying to talk to safety or breakdown is a waste of time..never any answer so don't bother. You will be on hold for eternity. So don't breakdown or need to know a safety issue. You won't get the answer from them. I was confused by who I got the answers from..always a driver mgr. that was merely guessing or had you waiting on a wrong answer.
Detention pay- they say its automatic but NOT all of it is, you will get sent to consignee that don't pay period! They say its automatic "yea" if you put your check in time, checkout time signed by you and shipper also must have gate pass signed and your macros sent in correctly with all this along with your paperwork scanned in right away. Then wait for your driver mgr to approve it during business hours only, nothing is done at night so it can tend to get tiring if your on opposite shift just to get money owed to you. That also goes for scale tickets only paid during business hours but you have to ask for reimbursement repeatedly.
And home time, I was threaten that someone would be put in my assigned truck because I couldn't get to the terminal fast enough the day I was coming back off home time, I never have been late before just this one time. I communicated with my driver mgr. my car trouble but was threaten they would put someone in my assigned truck with all my personal belongings still on the truck and that I would have to wait till they came back from a run to get my stuff, it was so unprofessional I was in shock and couldn't believe I was treated that way.. I decided to leave them after several chances to do right by me but they failed as a company that I felt I should continue to stay with.
I hope that if anyone reads this they choose wisely about this company and don't be blinded by their shines new trucks..because when it comes to money and trust they lost a good driver...
