Carrier should have fired him for that.If a driver don't like how a company operates then find another job.I'm not by any means condoning all of the alledged things this driver said but I certainly won't tell a reporter of all people how a company runs its business.

10 years,5 years, 2 years ago has nothing to do with the way National is today.Major changes has happend in the last 3 years ive been with NCI. CSA has put everyone on edge and rightfully so. We run very good equipment thats well maintained. I average 2500 per week and thats long term average not just 2-3 weeks. No the money is not the greatest 34-38 cpm plus a fuel bonus. Theres alot to be said about stability and NCI does have that. Rant and rave all you want but the fact is OP never sat 1 day in a truck at NCI and the rest of ya's havent a clue how things are run today at NCI.

If you think im in upper managment tell me what truck stop to meet ya at:p Plus i dont recruit for anyone.

Someone will always find something to whine about making any company the lowest rats in the biz.The funny thing is when someone says its not like that at all they get slammed. So go ahead slam me,tell me how im some misfit recruiter/cheerleader just because I dont have the issues whiners come up with on here.

I have never driven for NCI though I do see them sitting bubtail frequintly in Dodge City waiting for loads. Standard operating procedure for refer companies in general in my opinion. However, back in the day when I used to haul meat(mid 70's to early 80's) I remember that there was a very long waiting list to sign your truck on with NCI. I also remember being told about how well they treated their people and NCI flying their drivers home for the christmas party.

For you older guys, I pulled a circus wagon back then and they were a good Company until they sold out to Con Agra

When Swift sent me home for having a CPAP, I rented a car rather than ride a bus from Phoenix back to El Paso. It cost me over $300 for a one way from Phoenix Sky Harbor to El Paso International Airport. Got a Chevrolet Aveo (not a bad little car IMO, ran 85-90mph without a hitch). So I don't think a one way rental to Texas from Florida and then back costing $1000 would be out of the ordinary.

So you still don't get it,do ya? If the company gives you the option of sliding scale or no sliding scale you will pick option 2 ? because you assume your runs will be longer if not on sliding scale? OK

    mje Thanks this.

LOL telling me to do research? When you haven't? There are plenty of drivers at those companies making that scale. You just have to stay with a outfit more then a couple of months.
I was making .36 a mile at May trucking in 07 as a new hire The new hires are not making that now but if you where not job hopping when all the companies started cutting starting pay then you would be.

    mje Thanks this.

NCI is not privately owned anymore? How long ago did this happen?

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!
