I recently talked to somebody online who drives for Werner and claimed he'd been asked to be a trainer after only three months of employment. Not sure how much driving experience he had at the time, though.

I understand about the DAC report. Let's forget about the employee number.

I don't know quite what I can do, but I guess if anyone has a complaint against Werner, lay it on me. I will try to do what I can to verify that things are happening while keeping everyone anonymous and forward that information.

What would be even better

What would be even better is if a company insider actually tried to change things about a driver's record that are way out of wack. Of course, that's rather difficult to do through a website where subjective opinions are posted and information gets left out.

If insiders could only cut through the fog here and get to the real truth, their righting of wrongs would gain them great respect by many drivers and former drivers who post on this site. Instead of giving drivers a shoulder to cry on and pretending they care, they should be acting to right the wrongs those drivers are crying about. Actions, boy. Actions.

some are whining others are very right

So it seems some dont like werner and others may like it. we every one is entitled to thier opinions in these united states of bull crap. heres the facts werner pays the lowest scale possible both for company driver and owner operators. Now yes they do have miles lots of miles because they are kings of swap swap swap swap. now one problem i dont like is making new drivers trainers just to fill more empty seats. of course everyone knows this fact already its nothing but numbers really. your not a name but a number just a freakign number. but at any company your just a number in the computers its the easiest way to look your name up in the system. of course i suggest that any one with common sense should seek a diff company than werner. im an ex employee and ex owner operator with werner. both ways sucked big time and come to find out they also falsly reports bogus accidents on my dac report. i actually have 2 non preventable accidents which occured in 2005 but according to 6 diff trucking companies werner felt fit to claim i have 5 preventable accidents that happened this year. now i currently work for a car dealership that i have been at since jan 2007. now you tell me lol who is screwed up. so dont start or even apply with this company if you value your dac reports at all. hope this helps all. ask me more questions if you need to know more aboptu this cheap cheap cheap company.

These are the United States of America. I don't know what this has to do with Werner but you can take that crap to the political discussion board.

I agree I don't know what the purpose that his opening statement was. Apparently he isn't happy with Werner.

Of course they're gonna bust your DAC report

Of course they're gonna bust your DAC report with bogus claims. This helps keep you out of the industry, which opens up one more driver's seat. A seat that may well be filled by a school graduate. Given that big companies have their hands in many of the most expensive truck training schools, every student at said schools benefits the owners of those schools in a big way. This means those companies who have stakes in the schools actually benefit from getting rid of their experienced guys and replacing them with newbies. All they have to do is treat their experienced guys badly, see them quit because of the bad treatment, advertise the job openings to lure in newbies, and hire those newbies. In a few weeks, those newbies will see the cycle start all over when they themselves begin to be abused. Of course, a whole new batch of trucking school students and fresh grads will be waiting in the wings.

Sooner or later, the big outfits will run out of new fools and will have to rely on either coming clean or bringing drivers up from Mexico. I don't believe the Mexican solution will pan out, so I'm gonna bet that the solution to the turnover problem will take the form of companies cleaning up their acts.
