This right here is why the e-logs are not mandatory yet ,harrasment of drivers as opposed to safety ...

yea, perhaps that is the reason, but w the fed gov saying e logs arent manditory find it hard to belive they care about safety.but the more we drive the more taxes we and the companies pay.and taxes are the "mothers milk" to politicians.so,i see your point.anywho, they done that to me

Landair drivers have the ability to edit mistakes on their logs from the cab of their truck. When logs are more than one day old drivers lose visibility and are unable to edit them. When this occurs drivers contact a safety manager who will edit the logs, with the drivers approval, as long as it does not violate DOT hours of service rules. Driving time is never edited. It is impossible to change a drivers log without their approval. When anyone edits a log, including driver edits, the changes automatically come back to the driver for their approval. Why would you ever need to edit,or alter a drivers logbook, that he has signed under the penalty of perjury as being true & correct at the time of submission ??

Why would you ever need to edit,or alter a drivers logbook, that he has signed under the penalty of perjury as being true & correct at the time of submission ?? The only thing I can think of is that you compare the logs to all supporting documents and they dont match up..In that case you just simply have a false log...

NO, the logs are edited prior to final approval but driving time cannot b changed. Some drivers sandbag their logs so they don't have to run at nite ...you know .. to much line 4 when they could b on line 2 sleeper. This puts other drivers on that load because the SUPER TRUCKER didn't want to take it...
