No, they are very different. One of my best friends from back in my Army days is an O/O leased to Giltner. Been with then a good 10 years or so. Works on % and does well with them. They mainly run west.

There is a noticeable and distinct difference in their stickers...

England lists lease first... Giltner lists train.

I think people should train before they lease.

Good thing I searched. I was going to post this exact thing. I saw the CR type thing on the trailer too, and thought they were connected in some way.

Wrong on both accounts. Firstly, Giltner doesn't train and has no school. Secondly, Giltner is absolutely associated with CR England, who starts their drivers out at .25 cents a mile and has more lawsuits and complaints than just about any trucking company. Per the news article; "Jerry and Ronald Moyes were childhood friends with Jeff England, son of Gene and grandson of Chester Ronald England (CR England). Carl left CR England to start his own company & later employed Randy and Gary Knight. Maude Knight then married Chester R. England. Carl and his two sons moved to Phoenix and founded the company that later became Swift. Brothers Kevin and Keith Knight and along their cousins Randy and Gary Knight, who also moved to Phoenix and worked for Swift, then founded Knight Transportation. England then founded Pride Transport and Progressive Logistics in Salt Lake City. Giltner is “a division of Progressive Logistics” as printed right on the side of all Giltner trucks and trailers."

I've heard from other Giltner driver posts that they have gone downhill maybe even having a hard time staying afloat. I have also heard that they used to be a decent company. Key word: USED.

Right, progressive logistics owns giltner, and "...progressive logistics was founded by CR England." And the first sentence on the giltner homepage states "Giltner, Inc., proudly based out of Jerome, Idaho, is a division of Progressive Logistics..." All giltner trucks and trailers state on the side "a division of progressive logistics." http://giltner.com/

They were barely running legal before electronic logs kicked in. I am sure that having them has caused alot of grief.

Correct. All giltner trucks and trailers say " a division of progressive logistics" and England owns progressive logistics, that's why the "drivers wanted" type of advertisement on the back of giltner trailers look like England's. And giltner has the same massive driver turnover percentage as england, that's why they have to advertise 24/7 on the back of all their trailers. Search this website, and Giltner has far too many complaints about the same stuff over and over. Amazing for a company with only 100 trucks.
