I drove for SRT years ago and loved it! its a shame if it truly went down hill. I'm building a custom chopper and plan on riding down there to visit some of the employees. It wasnt easy finding a good company back then, they were great in every way to me!

He doesn't have a reason to sue. There was an article in this week's "The Trucker" in the back of the magazine by that lawyer/legal guy about this very issue. The court may have sealed their record of his incident but the local sheriff's department might have also had it on file and they were under no obligation to seal it. Meaning it's still a matter of public record and some background check company paid by SRT dug up this info on this driver. If you have something like that sealed by the court it's up to you to make sure other agencies that may also have the same record also do the same. Probably a painful beauracratic process but you do what you gotta do to cover yourself...

Hey Rollin, good job on that assessment of the legality of sealed records! You're absolutely correct! It seems as though there's no legal basis for a law suit here, unfortunately for that driver.

You are correct with your statements and the article results. But he may have a reason. It would depend on the "sealed" record. Each case is differant.

As a matter of record. The same courts can and do remove all trace of records. If you need a case to dig for, I'll be more than happy to point you to one.

The case was major national news for about 6 months. No records exist in public domain, other than brief news paper comments. No records exist within law enforcement reach either.

The case(s) are/were a matter of public record. They were reported on. But that's all that is availible to anyone.

The findings and outcome are still sealed, along with names of suspects and witnesses. The only names mentioned, are those of the Judge and State Attorney General.

:biggrin_25510:jmcalif you said it perfect,SRT has got to be the worst company I have ever seen,I and my husband went there as a team in 2004,orientation was the pits, signing your life away was the worst, then to make matters worse this man and wife team speakers started spouting about if you date anyone within the company your fired, well! how about them thats where they met,you might reconize her she had hair like a mop,her husband started downing women drivers and when we were all asked to sign all those papers my husband said bull crap if you want to drive for them go ahead, well I didn't have much choice as money was at the bottom and so I decided to give it a try as a solo, which I didn't mind I've done a lot of solo gigs,he didn't like thier attitude so two days before final orientaion he told them he was not going to drive for them, they gave him a ticket home,he never even test drove only took an UA test then the last day the test results came back they told him in front of every body that he tested positive for marq. he blew a cork and they said want us to call the mro? they did and my husband talked to the mro who said he was positive for weed and when they done the testing he said it was such a small amount the lab wasn't sure if it was really weed but they concluded it was weed, and asked my husband what meds he took,he told the mro he is asmatic and takes three different kinds and I know these type of meds [I'm an ex-nurse]will read positive..the mro said I don't belive it and slammed down the phone,I almost walked out but we were so broke I took it..they gave me a truck that #### near killed me,they were supposed to have done a complete safety check, guess what they didn't and when I got half way to Kentucky my engine slipped forwrd right into the fan thru the air conditioner, freightliner inspector said "you have only one motor mount bolted on and how did you not wreck and die?? luck I guess, wellI got no home time except once and that was to get my clothes and puppies [3]min.dachshunds,after fighting 3mos with them for loads and trying to get home I said forget it,I gave notice it took them 3weeks to work me home so I could drop off my stuff and pups,I got half way to OK when my dispatcher said bring the truck back to the yard they want to check it out after the problem I had in Kentucky,I thought nothing about it but kinda knew they were up to something,I got back they locked the truck in the garage told me to take everything out and got me a motel room[which I had to fight for them to pay]told me I was on my own getting my stuff and pups home, they took 1000.00 pay towards the room and said I owed for orientation, thank god my daughter lived in TN and came and got me..SRT has got to be the worst company I have ever done business with..after 3years they still keep on my husbands DAC that he tested positive and whats funny about it he went back to MCkelvey a week later when he got home and was there for over a year until he bought his own truck and recently turned it back due to high fuel cost but decided to drive for another company but his DAC came up with that on it and don't know how he's gonna get it cleared..anyone who thinks they are great are not experienced truckers cause everyone I talked to about them thinks they STINK!!
Sorry this was so long a letter but thats only half of it.
Well good luck on your next roll and may the sun be at your back and the roads clear and dry.

I'M GLAD TO SEE SRT GETTING THERE SHARE OF CRAP FOR LYING AND TELLING FALSE STORIES ABOUT DRIVERS....YOUR RIGHT THEY WERE ONCE A GREAT COMPANY AND WERE ACTUALLY FUN TO WORK FOR AND DISPATCH REALLY WORKED AS A TEAM. THEY HAVE A FEW PEOPLE IN MANAGEMENT THAT ARE DESTROYING THIS COMPANY AND THE MAIN ONE IS THE "SAFETY DIRECTOR".WHAT WARPED PERSON.(X-JB HUNT).THE THING YOU BETTER THINK ABOUT IS JUST EVEN TRYING TO WORK FOR THEM NOW WILL MOST LIKELY WIND UP RUINING YOUR DAC AND WILL DESTROY YOU FOR ANY OTHER COMPANY WANTING TO HIRE YOU.IF YOU WANT TO "SELF DESTRUCT" JUST START HERE AND YOU WILL WIND UP PAYING THE PRICE FOR YEARS AND NEVER GET ON WITH A GOOD COMPANY THAT CAN TREAT YOU FAIR AND MAKE YOU A HAPPY TRUCKER. I HAVE BEEN ON THE ROAD 13 YEARS AND REALLY LOVE IT AND YOU CAN ONLY FEEL THIS WAY WHEN YOU WORK FOR A GOOD COMPANY.
LOOK HARD AND DIG DEEP BECAUSE YOUR DECISION WILL BE WITH YOU A LONG TIME, BUT YOU CAN GET LUCKY AND HAVE THAT TRUCKERS DREAM OF THE OPEN ROAD IF YOU PUT IN THE EFFORT TO SEARCH FOR THE BEST NOT WHAT YOUR TOLD BUT READING THESE BOARDS AND TALKING TO DRIVERS GOOD LUCK [IMG]

Imagine That ! Now there are two experienced drivers who have been around for at least a little while.I was a solo coming from 17 yrs as a small fleet owner of 7 trks.
promised the sky by SRT and delivered into the bowels of hell itself.I have never seen a company this mis managed in my entire trucking life. Now i Lost my buisness to high fuel cost and a lawsuit by a outlaw driver in one of my trks. But drivers beware SRT is not what they appear to be.Should you decide to sign on,,,it will not be long and you will sign off and never look back.

Are you a recruiter? Or just trying to stir trouble on threads?

This thread, Barr Nunn, the Prime thread, you've made the same comment. Showing 2 years experience. Yet claiming you have worked for Roahl for at least a year.

Which implies to me, you have worked at none for any length of time. If at all.
