SRT- Southern Refrigerated Transport

This driver started an SRT network , maybe he can help ya, as for as me I talked to one of there drivers in Anthony TX. about 2 weeks, ago he had been with them for 4 years seemed very happy. From what he said he had been driving for over 30 years and all companies have their up's and down's it's what you make of it .

Hey slimgoody .... they are owned by Covenant now, and when I worked there years ago, crappy trucks,crappy loads and miles and a management that did not care a boo about the drivers. How are they now? I do not know....but being owned by Covenant is not a blessing. Hope this helped you....there are threads about them here somewhere.

 

I had a friend who had worked for them for about 2 years. He unloaded his truck, put in for lumper's pay because there were none around, and submitted it for $20.00. He was called into the terminal a month later and told he was being let go.

 

I drove for them as as far as miles go i ran pretty good and normally got home when i asked too. Yes they hire solo drivers and the equipment is decent and it is maintained. Hope this helps.

 

I was trasnferred to SRT back in 07 when they took over the solo division of covenant. When i first started there i got good miles 3000+ aweek and made good money but as time went by the miles got worse and by october i was not running much at all. I was planning on going somewhere else when my mother suffered a Heart Attack and had to have quadruple bypass surgery and could not leave out I called my dispatcher and let them know that i would return the truck back to the yard sunday considering i was in nc and they sent somebody for it at my home and then put on my dac that i abandoned it but yet iwas there with the truck at home where it was supposed to be parked when i was off. I did dispute it with dac and it was taken off but people beware of this if you work for them or plan on working for them.

 

Not nessacarily true, If they have any Goverment contracts, back ground checks through the FBI/Homeland Security are required and all records are open and available to the hiring Company.
