All in the last 3 months WSTL has experienced a massive driver reduction due to falling apart equipment and the disrespectful way that the Company treats their drivers.
They start out with the BS on their Company website claiming they have no equipment older than 18 months. Totally false, its more like 8 to 16 years.
The shop is a disaster, youll never get anything done there, and state of the art?? Well it might have been 20 years ago. Its bad enough that even new hires have walked right out and didnt go through their hiring process for the lies they were told by recruiters.
The last raise the company gave from what finance told me was in 2006 and as far as benifits.. "0" And I do mean "0" well maybe 1.
The health Insurance there is the only benefit they offer, and its totally worthless when you need it. The Company contributes 15% towards your weekly premiums,
giving a good reason I guess as to why family coverage is 165.00 weekly.
When it comes to hometime.. Forget it. Youll always go through the house loaded in order to assure you cant spend quality time off. And with the avg. miles of 1900 to 2400 miles weekly it doesnt leave alot really to be home for.
Well to sum it all up I left after 2 years of going nowhere fast, my dispatcher told me one day that my miles wasnt his concern, that covering only the load was. That was it for me, I need miles, and if the loads I cover cant get me miles then you have a great recipe for going nowhere fast!
At one time I heard this Company had over 1000 trucks, when I left the had just under 500 "JUNK" trucks. They had added approx. 100 new truck to the fleet to get rid ofsome of the junk, but had stopped even doing that when I left.
They pray on driving school grads that know no better and beg others that have been there before.
Good Company? NO! BAD Company? NO! Its far worce than that. I dont recommend and God be my witness will never go back. PERIOD!
200+ and counting walk out from Wiley Sanders Truck lines
