I've noticed a few I'm wandering if anyone else has tips.

    (1) If they answer the phone with a simple Hello. I have not found one Legitimate company ever answer the phone this way.
    (2) They won't give you the company name or any other info, they just ask for your dl and ss#.
    (3) You goggle their phone number and you find craiglists ads everywhere. Or that number isn't tied to any company.

Now some of these Identity thief's are good and has a real looking fake web site, but ask for their dot number and google it.

One should only apply with personal information from an official company website. It's a must to call the company using the phone number listed on their website, not a CL ad. Also, if you don't want your cell phone number sold to everyone on the face of this planet, avoid applying through any third party recruiters. They will tell you that they hire for a certain legitimate company to earn your information, but don't listen. There's nothing you can do to unnamed voice on the phone afterwards. Once you gave them your name and your phone, they will harass you.
Right now economy is up and there are tons of jobs for drivers new drivers including, so no need to go through your third parties or unnamed mom and pops. Small business can be great, but you need to know someone who already works for them, tried them, likes them. Otherwise, you may end up running for some stupid who leased a few trucks and is trying to live off of the difference in pay for load and pay to the drivers they hire. You will never get a well maintained truck as they will try to fix as little as possible as cheaply as they can and they don't have bulk buying power for parts and labor like larger carriers do, same goes for benefits. You see those folks at truck stops all the time bragging about how they find "stupid drivers" to fill in their leased tractors seats. Don't fall for that. Get on board with a legit employer who has consistent freight, mechanics, safety department and benefits.

The funny thing is that it was posted under the "Transport Jobs" section and the embarrassing part is that it's where I live. Yoopers have way to much time on there hands. Lol
