.....i would start putting my feelers out , worrying will not add one minute to your life (scripture) ..... start lookin forward instead of the past , this foxx will be snared in his own craftiness but you will move forward when you can & look back at this situation and laugh at all that worthless worrying you did ......trucking can be tuff if you let someone corner you ,just smile & look for the back door it's called " shuck & jive" we wish you well , keep your chin up kid !!!

 

Glad to help you upintheair , i think their are alot others out here that are on your side too , this lease purchase thing has hurt alot of us , personall i think it should be against the law .....the question is how deep are you in & what's it worth to either cut your looses & move on or ride the storm out to the finish line ? ....sounds you are like the rest of the L/P drivers , you are trapped in the truck & can't afford to take a singl day off work ....so you are not alone in this
...i don't know much about these L/P scams but can you pull other frieght besides skyveiw? & just make payments to them for their equipment ? Until it is yours or are you locked into a one way contract with them ? ...... The trick is to always have other options & never let anyone paint you into the corner , its not easy sometimes but if you are organized & resourceful , this will make you more prudent ( aggressive) & keep you from getting cornered , even if your just a company driver like me ,....my boss knows im productive , he is kind but firm & knows i am a the same way but the difference is ....he is the master & i am the slave but he also knows not to give me any duff or i he will have to another driver to put his confidence in ......he makes $ and so then do i also just not as much as he but it doesn't matter much because he's just another man like me , the difference is he planted on fertil ground & has a good crop and it doesn't bother me a bit even tho im leaving the company soon for a better paying job & a more solid company with pensions & stuff like that .....$ doesn't make the man , the man makes the $ and $ is just a tool it's nice have lots of it but it doesn't have anything to do with the substance of the man himself or what is in his heart

 

Im local here in the motor city .....i run chrysler auto parts OTR is not for me i have too much responsibility here at home , my first OTR job cost me a marriage , which caused me to stay on the road & just live in the truck for a couple yrs , you guys probly don't remember a company named "pioneer " we had coffin sleepers & ran ford 9000s ....some old timers might remember them that was in 1987 after i got thru my wild stage after the devorce i realized OTR was too hard on my son & i was tired of the lifestyle , no friends & no love life no to mention pioneer started shorting my pay and then they finally went of out business ,shortly after i quit & took something local

 

I f they have gangs signs [ religous ] on there trucks ,or preach they are of god ,then i know they are false profits . get out take the lost and get back in they will drag you to hell.

 

@ Superflow, why do you think L/P should be against the law? I think drivers should just say NO...Government cant stop people from being stupid..but to make it a law..I dont know...

 

That sounds pretty Christian to me.

 

......let's put it this way , every lease purchase should be proof read before signing by a lawyer , most of the scandlistiic claws are well hidden from the signer or not volunteered for information to the signer for the sol purpose of dishonest gain , i don't see how we can make a law against but we do know it's not the right way to be in our society .....so we should atleast look down on this kind of thing and not take it as the victim was stupid but take it as something disgusting to be shuned & not tolerate by the trucking industry
