I'm surprised you are getting paid at all since he has filed for bankruptcy. He owed around 2+ million according to the filings. Find you another job before you let him know you are quitting because he will blackball you if you don't. Good luck man I have worked for all kinds, big and small companies he was the worst of the worst. And before you tell him you are quitting take your stuff out of the truck, I sat and watched a driver have to bring the law to get his back. Oh and unless he paid his bill don't get hurt, when he filed bankruptcy he hadn't paid his worker's comp. and the state was taking him to court. I have copies of all those documents. Good Luck

LOL, people actually work for this guy?

The pay must be great to put up with being treated like a teenager with a learners permit.

He puts up a great front, the trucks are newer, very nice, wonderful runs, he pays decent, but after he's got you buddy you pay. And when you quit he hates you with all his being, he will do all he can to ruin you. He is so good a con man, it's hard to believe he's not a politician. His other pull is his "Christian" act.

Well its Easter Sunday and I called into work to see if I was going out today and was told I would be going out and I told my boss I would be at the yard in a little bit. I didn't give a time I would be there. Normally I leave the yard before or at 5 o'clock.

So I got there at a quarter till 5 and put my stuff in my truck and got everything ready to go and called my boss at 5 on the dot to see what trailer I would be taking and there was no answer so I waited 15 minutes and called back still no answer. So I waited 15 more minutes and still no answer. So I waited 30 minutes and called him back and still no answer. I did leave messages each time I called him and finally the last time I called I told him I was going back home that I had been there for over an hour waiting on him to call me back and I never heard from him.

So I came back home and he called me back a little after 8 o'clock to night and I didn't answer the phone I will talk to him tomorrow. I mean the way I see it if the load was important enough he would have returned my call when I first called him. I'm so tired of calling him every day before I go to work and then when I get to the yard to find out what ever it is he wants me to do or take. Then call after I get the load picked up and then after I get to the consignee and then after I get unloaded and he tells us where to be at the next morning for a back haul and then we have to call him back for pick up numbers and then after were loaded and then after we get to the place where the load goes and then after we get back to the yard to go home.

I waist more time on the phone trying to find out what is what instead of him just telling me when I call him the first time. I cant figure out why I have to call him so much when some of the other drivers know exactly what there doing and where there going before they ever get to the yard to go out. Why is it so different with me? I've been driving a truck for 25 years and never had to do so much calling and calling and never get no where.

So once I come back home I want talk to him tomorrow because I've done made other plans for the evening! Shure wish I had another job so tired of the yahoo jobs that's suppose to be good jobs.

Maybe he was testing you, pushing your buttons to see if you would quit on him, because your not giving him a valid reason to fire you, if you quit you can't collect unemployment you can't pass go or collect $200 ... Just saying for a guy to do that on a young gun, they would have quit on him johnny on the spot...I heard so many people put their jobs on the line to prove a point and refusing to work on easter, and some won't have a job tomorrow because of their beliefs or family values. Just food for thought , I might be completely wrong but hey I've been known to be right every once in a while... Good luck & Happy Easter

Manipulators will : cuss you out, keep you in the dark , make you feel inferior, be control freaks, not pay what they owe and a few other things..... This is the kind of person to stay away from especially NOT WORTH WORKING FOR!!!!
.... now that you didn't answer his call, he will probably be threatened you with your job to teach you a lesson or condition your thinking (brain wash) .... I would just tell him the truth that you both agreed that you would be working and HE dropped the ball by not answering your phone calls ... tell him that HE let you down and that HE DISAPPOINTED YOU!!! .... tell him you are man of your word , TURN IT AROUND ON HIM .... Do it in a respectful way of course, and then start looking for another job while you work for him..... Sounds like he expects alot of welfare trucking, your time is just as valuable as his time is.... Besides that,, you can't afford to work for free can you?

What superflow says is correct, but still be ready for a grand dressing down, with insults and a guilt trip on how you are ruining a business he worked years for, how you just think about yourself and he doesn't give a #### about you or your family. lol Run, run as fast as you can. If you don't mind cameras on you Cargo is a fairly decent place to work.
