This company is a nightmare! Started working for them 2 weeks ago. Two hours after getting in their disgusting, smelly truck with no working fuel guage, ran out of fuel on 60 fwy at Diamond Bar, CA. In rush hour traffic in center lane with brakes also locking up. The owner of the company Arthur Theus started ranting and raving and ordering me and the co -driver to not let CHP have a tow truck hook to his truck. He informs us that he is on the way from Moreno Valley, CA with a 5 gallon can of fuel. What a joke! He also disregardsd me telling him about the brakes being locked up. Freeway Metro Service is there and then later CHP and traffic is backed up for 65 miles. Miraculously, the owner arrives just as the tow truck arrives and he almosts gets a ticket for trying to hurry and put fuel into the tank against CHPs orders, the truck is towed to the shoulder and he's charged 367.00. Then we go on a wild goose chase after he goes to get another 5 gallons then a crazy search for a place to put more fuel in. He puts 50.00 in and sends us on our way. Never did find out what was happening with the brakes. Next day ran out of fuel again. The next day ran out twice in one day. In a week we ran out of fuel 6 times. Also driving around with a bad turbo thats whistling so loud it hurts your ears and was so embarrassing. He also bypassed several engine parts that were bad by disconnecting them which affected fuel economy. He finally switches us to his OTHER piece of #### truck with a very bad exhaust leak that fills the cab with choking fumes anytime you coast the truck. He pays late and trys to blame you for being late to a load when it was caused by either running out of fuel or sitting at the fuel island for 2 hrs. While trying to get a fuel advance cashed on an efs or comdata check. No fuel card! These people are muslims and I swear he used some language with me a couple of times where I guess he seemed to be trying to intimidate me with threatening tones and words. I had to put fuel in the truck with my own money a couple of times just to avoid running out of fuel again and havent been reimbursed yet. He also had me install 3 refurbished batteries for him and its a miracle I connected them correctly in the dark, while his poor wife was an errand girl runing to buy batteries, fuel, and starter fluid because the truck ran out of fuel again then the 3 bad batteries went dead. As of now he owes me 965.00 and pay day was 5 days ago and still no pay. I finally gave up and quit and now he came up with some ######## that there is trailer damage that I caused, that I know nothing about. Run away fast from this guy! He has lost numerous brokers during the two weeks I worked for him and only delivered a load on time twice in two weeks due to all the fuel run outs and break downs. How the hell did I get mixed up with an operation like this. Oh BTW, he also demands you drive illegally and wants you to leave your logs blank unless youre pulled into a scale house. No mud flaps etc. Where does the drama end? It doesn't!

65 miles backup, eh? From one truck breakdown, that has to be a record of some sorts. I'd call the Guiness Book people.....

Why on earth did you take the job? Heck, CRE would have been a better choice at that point driver.

lol I was waiting to see if anyone was gonna slander that remark!:biggrin_2559: Ok I would take it back but its too late now. Yes DON'T work for CRE either. Go work for someone that will actually respect you as a driver and pay you well for your services. Try Werner:biggrin_2559:. Sorry I couldn't resist. Don't go for any of the bottom feeders and carefully check out these smaller companies. You don't want a repeat of this situation.

I know 65 miles was just a number picked out of nowhere. All I know is there was traffic for days and my co drivers wife said she saw us on the news and that there was a sigalert. I was sitting there for what seemed liked hours even the CHP tow truck that was sent took a long time to get there. What do you mean I knew the condition of the truck before I took the job? Do you mean because I had to do a pre tip inspection? Give me a break. I knew his truck smelled and that to me...coming from Swift, Werner, and to a lesser degree USA Truck, his 2004 Columbia was old , but thats about it. The owner had mentioned the fuel guage not working, but also said I should be able to get it fixed later that day. Never happened!

Why did you leave Swift, Werner, and USA truck before coming to X-Team?
