Kag is starting to find ways to take the vip program from the drivers. Management has told safety they will take a huge loss. 13,000 dollars per each driver, who reaches it. To make that money back is to raise the rates, and cut drivers pay.

kag management has informed safety dept. to start eliminating drivers from the vip program asap. That they will take a huge loss if they do not. 13,000 dollars per driver who goes 5 yrs without a mishap of any kind. so do not call out sick, give loads back, or complain about anything.

I was with Transport Service before KAG bought them. Once the deal was closed, pay went downhill fast! Sounds like things haven't improved with time.

They are to big, drivers mean nothing to these people. Dispatch, ( not all, but most), treat us like we are scum. They talk crap, when they are sitting in Canton, hundreds of miles away, would be different if they had to see us every day. They would never talk like they do in person.

That safety bonus is a joke. Lost mine for total ########. I wont be there next time around. Its not $13, 000 either. much less. They can keep it.

Time for teamsters, in my honest opinion.

Hey petrohauler, They forgot that it's drivers that make a trucking company run. In West Sacramento we would see the dispatchers every day, and they would try to talk down to you. I invited 2 of the 6 dispatchers to " talk to me outside the gate like you're talking to me right now!" ( no takers) In California we were told the bonus would be $13,000.00. I used to not want the union 'cause I didn't want to pay someone to work, but, after I got hurt on the job, the way I got treated made me change my opinion about unions. I hope the union does come in now. ( I am no longer employed there) It won't help the drivers any, but it could send a message to management at other companies that if you don't treat people nicely and you keep ripping them off on their pay, then you will have more problems than you have now. I heard from many former drivers over my 15yrs that they were surprised that no-one has done a workplace shooting there. Well, I hope it doesn't happen, but when it happens, (not if) I and several others will not be surprised. keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up! ( will the last person to leave the West Sacramento yard take the polishing rags with you.)

Did you guys ever stop to think maybe there is a method behind their madness? ....here's a hint
Dumb them down ,degrade ,pump fear into them ,put the heat on them ,dangle a carrot for them to chase and
"BINGO" .......this is how steal from the driving force .....but here's what you guys should remember !!!
WITHOUT DRIVERS THEY DON'T HAVE A JOB ......shame on you drivers for being such ##### cats
PS....they won't stop degrading you ....it serves them well

That's why I left them years ago. I refuse to be treated like that.

Our bonus is 13 weeks vacation, but 3 of those are your regular vacation weeks. So, the bonus is 10 weeks, at $765, for $7,650. In Pennsylvania anyways.

I agree, unions wont do much for employees, unless there is a good pension plan involved. I used to envy the guys at Exxon, Atlantic, Gulf, BP, among others, that could retire after 20 years. Before Exxon slammed doors shut in Pittsburgh, there where guys that had over 30 years in, over a million worth of stock, got a huge severance, then a huge pension. I believe its all in the drivers hands, but just look around at the coworkers. Enough said. No one has the balls to stand up for themselves.

Look into the history of this company, and how Advantage formed in 1991. The busted out a union company, closed its doors, then formed Advantage, which initially ran under North Canton Transfer's authority. All the upper management where responsible for that. Was the start of these scab outfits over running the industry, forcing the majors out.

The way I see it, my annual salary is very good, but my life in the future would be much better if I had a lifelong pension. I would gladly give 45 bucks a month now, to get back around $3,000 when I retire, for life. Unlikely will see that now. Instead, ill invest my 3% company match in a fee gobbling 401k.

It's how we do business these days i guess ,gotta learn their tactics ,they actually take courses on how to "dumb a driver down"....notice how much "on duty" with no pay (free labor) they award themselves with ,notice the selfserving policies
I work with o/o guys every day ,i watch how our company screws these guys out of money ,i watch how they screw us company drivers also ....gotta have a thick skin ,fly under the radar ,keep it positive, but be ready for a lie and cover your butt ....good for you bro ,im kinda in the same boat but im not in a hurry in looking for another job ,don't want to waste building more trucking companies that turn into Frankenstein ,loose their god given morals and forget about us drivers that there running the extra miles ,there to hit the ball for them .....i don't blame god if he doesn't want to bless America anymore ,we have turned away from the very one who made little rebel forces victorious over the largest army of the world at that time frame in history .....doing my homework looking for the back door of my selfish bosses trucking co.
