Are All Companies Bad???

    Really sad to see this industry falling apart..wonder how much longer this can go on..seems like every company in the country is in this section..feel sorry for noobs to have to live through so many nightmares..i think we can be called true Americans for what we have all had to put up with..would be great to see joe public's face when all truckers decide enough is enough and shut all their trucks down..laugh all you want but i believe this is coming..sure its been talked about for years but back then we all had options,but now with DAC,PSP,e-logs,anti-idling laws,etc. i feel this industry will cross the point of no return in about 20 years..that will be a sad day..i have put many years in this lifestyle and would not do it again if i had a choice..the sad fact is this industry will keep getting worse and worse until it hits the breaking point..we are all human beings and we can only take so much..i personally am waiting to get to the oil fields in Texas within the next month and will work hard for the next 3-4 years and save all my money and then it will be time to move on..yes,i will miss this industry but i am also ashamed at what has become of our beautiful country..i still believe this is the greatest place on Earth..ok,ive vented enough but before i go here is my list of good starter companies for new drivers...1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. If you dont understand why there are no names on this list then by all means go with a major bottom feeder company..be safe everyone out there..God Bless America..P.S.-there should be a limit of years before a driver can have an expert opinion on anything in this forum..(5 years???)..just sayin...

    I think it's safe to say it's not just trucking. Many jobs suck compared to 20/30 years ago. The decline of America is the problem. Our leaders are allowing it to happen.

    If you talk to people in other industries, many of them will tell you they don't love their job but have a mortgage to pay.

    Yes. the times, they are a-changing, as Bob Dylan sang years ago. But, here's what you do.....you adapt with them. OR sink. Plain and simple. In my almost 68 years on earth, I've seen plenty of changes come about.

    Sums it up pretty good.

    Medical industry going through obvious changes right now with ObamaCare, bet lots of doctors not happy, even quitting too.

    That [real] "high unemployment" of 5% under Bush is looking pretty good now isn't it? When you have 2-3 potential applicants for virtually every 1 job seat in America (and across the globe for that matter) you can't expect things to turn around for the worker in that environment, regardless what trade or profession you're talking about. If the administration would stop messing with the data and the numbers, unemployment is far worse then they will have you think, people are becoming desperate, and this is a recipe for large industries that do job training to literally abuse and exploit new entrants.

    Even those with respectable degrees find themselves facing miserable prospects in the world of obamanomics.

    Yeah, the unemployment numbers are not exactly accurate. Does it include people with part time jobs? How about people that no longer qualify for unemployment after getting laid off from work? The % is a lot higher than MSM (Main Stream Media) is telling.

    With a LOT of people looking to get into the trucking industry due to being laid off from factory, or other lack of work, the trucking companies have no motivation to treat us right or pay us fair wages for the time we put into the job.

    i think part or most of problem is nobody wants to work anymore.be it trucking or anything else,its just the new American attitude
