Wrong. We had a brokerage company for a while and the registration was on a trucking, and we corrected it to its own. Our company name has never changed. The equipment problems are drivers also because they do not tell us their problems or do their pre trips. The license, a driver forgot his license and another did not know his license was revoked for a ticket. Said drivers are still with us. Same for the physical. The driver forgot his new one. Unfortunately FMCSA punishes the company for drivers' stupidity. We've asked if they would fix it and they would not. We do not owe any drivers any money. We usually lose money because of drivers that come in doing good and then all the sudden get lazy. I can tell you everything that is on our CSA and 100% of it is because of drivers. We have been around for ten years with the same name and we have some drivers that have been with almost almost that whole time. We must be doing something right. Do some more research on us before judging.

He was purchasing a company truck to be his own. We were trying to help him out. Unfortunately he got lazy and would take 5 days to do one load and got in debt quick. When it took him until Thursday to get to where all of our drivers had already unloaded and reloaded by Monday, we knew it would not get better. Everyone else knew to leave before the snow storm came. Not him. We were hoping to recoup some of the losses and kept giving chances. Never again. We learned our lesson.

We can only fix what we know about when the drivers do their pre trips and post trips. We fix it as soon as we know. Ask any of our quality drivers. If there is an equipment problem the driver is the one that sees it every day. Not us. Why are they driving it if it is bad? Most of those drivers are not with us anymore for obvious reasons. And actually, these drivers have cost us money. Wish we were rolling in the dough but that is not the case at all.

yep. We have learned our lesson and this is how we are now operating. No more us being out for stupid drivers who cannot manage their money or do a simple inspection on their equipment.

What actions do you take to prevent HOS and Driver Fitness violations? Are you coaching drivers, do you pull MVR's to ensure licenses haven't been suspended? Do you make sure drivers are getting recertified in time? It can't all be on the drivers, while it's their responsibility it is also your responsibility to make sure they're compliant. With numbers like that you might want to consider Elogs.

Wrong, are you saying the FMCSA website is incorrect? It's all been posted on here for everyone to see. You need to check it out yourself! It is the company's responsibility to verify a driver is qualified and verify drivers logs to insure they are running legal. If they aren't it's your responsibility to do something about it. Don't put all the blame on the driver. It also shows your authority was involuntarily revoked twice. I guess that's the fault of the driver also?

We do all of that. But when a driver is on the road and they don't do their daily log we can't hold their hand and make sure they do it. Same with equipment. We give them all a test. They all pass. We give them log tests also. They all pass or they are not hired. We also do pre employment checks and pull their Dac reports. Like I said. Most of these drivers that have caused our bad record are not with us anymore for obvious reasons. We can't hold the hands of all of our drivers to make sure they tighten their chains and do a log for current day. Or make sure they put their commodity on their log and do their recap. By the time the logs get to us they are fine. And we also fine them when they have a violation on their roadside inspection. Ask any trucking company. We are not alone. Ask Fmcsa and insurance companies also miss knows what her husband says and has never run a trucking company herself to know what we go through. We just had an audit last year and we are satisfactory. Did you see that part? Auditor liked what she saw on how we ran things. Again. Must be doing something right on our end.

We have switched to elogs that way drivers have no excuse. We have passed all of our audits. Of course we pull records. All of our drivers are good when we hire them. The logs are for drivers simply not filling them out. We have a three strikes you are out and hefty fines for their mistakes. Same with equipment. They drive the trucks. We have to know if there is a problem. We PM them every 12,000 miles and do annual inspections.

When did you start running elogs? Just out of curiosity, because when we switched it took about 6 months to drop our CSA score from 96 to 51 for fatigued driving.
