We interviewed with a few Eastern European companies in Chicago. The thing we got from them was that they will take money out of our checks for anything.
Be careful with Silvicom Inc & Silvicom Logistic, melrose park IL

I used to drive for them. I had 0 experience, but they took me in because of other guys in the company that knew me.
The owners drove for over 8 years.
First thing I was told was to make sure my logbook was ALWAYS on point. They didn't care if I drove 1000 miles a day, or 200 miles a day, as long no violations, or accident. I pulled over anytime I felt tired/sleepy/weather was bad. Didn't catch any #### for it.
For tolls, I always had iPass, so I never had a problem with that. Any lumper fees/etc if I ever paid out of my own pocket I was reimbursed.
I AVG 4-5 thousand miles a week. 3 weeks on the road/1 week home. Sometimes I stayed more than 3 weeks because my paychecks were usually 1,800-2,200. I never waited til next week, but also I never picked up my paychecks for a month, because I always have money for myself. Then I'd come to Chicago, pick up my paychecks and cash em out, go home, and #### so IDK.
They charged me for 2 tires one time , but #### it.
I figured out. If you are good, they'll pay you. If you are bad, they'll cut you. They offer cash advances, and a lot of drivers took advtange of that. Getting 300$ advances, every 2-3 days? That's 1,200 a week! But they wouldn't drive, Sick, tired, out of hours, all type of bull ####. Their safety is bad because of dumb drivers. 1,400 mile run, do in 3 days. Driver, delivers, doesnt do his log books, drives 5 miles down the road, gets pulled in for inspection, gets put out of service. ####### shame.
I'd suggest this company to a GOOD driver, cause he will make money. For you lazy/political/tv watching/microwave eating guys that are happy with a 600/week paycheck and never checking your truck or doing your logs, please go back to Werner or swift.Last edited by a moderator: Mar 8, 2014

Welcome to Truckers Report !
You know how to make a good impression -
Hello fellow truckers,
I was never big on reviews and reading about companies because I am busy driving and making money but every now and then when I have a few minutes I like to update my self to what's going on in the industry, I've been with 5 companies through my 16 year driving career and I've been with Silvicom Inc for 4 years now and I must say that they are one of the fast growing leading companies in the industry who due care about their drivers and making money for everyone not just them selfs. I have always been on time and I have never had a single deduction from them, they provide every driver with new equipment and they pay top dollar per mile. Now as a driver I have experienced deduction in other companies for things that were clearly my fault and I am willing to respect that because if you're getting top dollar (47 cents/ mile) with a brand new truck and trailer and you cant preform you're minimum requirements as a driver you shouldn't be on the road. As far as pushing to drive I have never drove illegal with this company, they have rescheduled my appointments several times when I was feeling good or road conditions were bad and have never made me do anything that was not safe or unreal. So when I see bad reviews for a company I drive for and has been nothing but great to me I would like to write my experience down so you can make your own educated choice and realize that no company is ever good enough for us drivers, but if you want to make money with new equipment you these guys in my opinion are as close to great as it gets.
Hope this helps
Best regards,
