These people speak with thick, foreign accents. When asked where they are from, they say New Jersey. I think they are roma (gypsies). Only 2 kinds of people don't want you to know where they are from - iranians, and gypsies.
These people called me while I was at work. They offered "a local job, home every night, weekends off and $200 a day."
They have stolen $700 from me by failing to pay me for days I worked. Their idea of 'local' (based out if indy) is st louis, London Ky... They don't take enough taxes off - not even close! And as icing on this particularly putrid cake, they seem to think they the driver is personally responsible for stuff that happens.
You were warned.
Oh, and I almost forgot - greetings to all my fans, here on thetruckersreport. I'm like, really popular with the COMPANY SHILLS that frequent this site. So much so that I fully expect to hear from them, in response to this post. You guys are always good for a laugh... if nothing else!

Not a company shill, but you need to rethink some things and look for another way to make money,

Roadtex has been in business in NJ for many years. Wouldn't say gypsies at all.

I saw them advertising for drivers in my area of central california. and yes they do have thick accents. Im a student driver looking for companies atm so i decided to give them a call. The lady had a thick accent and couldnt answer a lot of my questions. she sounded very clueless so that a big NO for me.

!I knew I wouldn't be to long before somebody complained about this company. This company is a joke!i was a o/o with this company when they were still in nj.They also used the name AZSTAR which was leased to Roadtex.i left there because I would get tickets going thru Kentucky or New Mexico that I would pay and they would never reimburse me.they would just say it was cheaper to pay the ticket than get the permits we will reimburse you.that never happened. Then when I left there they kept my last check and said they didn't owe me any money.they lie there ##### off. Telling me I would be over the road but I would get stuck in indiana for weeks at a time doing local work. What they call local anyway.Stay away from these jack #####!!!!

They sad 0.55 c mile!!! You must split that for 2 drivers. If you are o/o you will get 370 a day, company will pay tolls and fuel, but they will push you work every day 14 hrs, and cheat with log book. Benefits are sh...ty , you have one light off on level 2 or 1 inspection it will cost you 500$ if you are o/o, there are no showers at any facility , company drivers drive trucks from rider, and get fuel from rider , so no way to take a shower after long day of works

I have worked local for them for over 2 years now and never had a problem at all. I guess experience will vary from driver to driver. And as far as the taxes are concerned a percentage of your paycheck is paid in per diem so you wont be able to write off expenses at the end of the year. Alot of trucking companies are doing this now.
