Back in my day we didn't have brakes. You jumped out of the truck and dragged your feet, while holding onto the truck for dear life. It sucked, but you did the best for what you had.

Some people think truck driving is easy... but it definitley has challenges. You have to be motivated to drive and let the company you work for know it by being a self starting individual and proving yourself time and time again. Dispatchers know they will look good if their drivers are motivated. You have to scratch their back first. Maybe this doesn't apply to ALL companies but it has to be the majority of them. Time and time again a driver will complain about a company and then one or several other drivers for the same company will say they get treated well. I know to take the complaints with a grain of sand unless the complaint is fact based or backed by several other drivers. 3 jobs in 1 yr? I heard Burger King is hiring Whopper Floppers. If you get on with them you can HAVE IT YOUR WAY!!!

It never fails to amaze me the amount of people who ##### about the food that is or isn't served during orientation at a majority of companies. It's trucking orientation not a ####### vacation.
Yes western express sucks, well so I've heard from countless threads, but I do find it comical your complaint about food precedes your complaint about pay.
unloaderjoseph1135, jimf922, allisonisatranny and 2 others Thank this. -
Stop being exploited by these OTR cartels people! You would be better off working groundskeeper at a Miniature Golf course. Western Express should be shut down and their management in jail. Why on earth even think of it?

Oh yeah, these guys love drivers!
And they give you the opportunity to meet every DOT officer in the nation.
Home time is a privilege.
