Well, what a shady story you have written above about GTS from Willowbrook, IL. We read your side of the story, but let's hear the other side of it too. First of all, nobody from GTS personnel has forced you to do anything. It's your choice, either to accept the conditions or to walk away. No one was standing and holding a gun to your head forcing you to sign the contract or "buy" a corporation. We are not in the flea market and we are not authorized to sell corporations. You suppose to do it on your own. One of our requirements for all of our leased drivers or owners operators is that they must be incorporated. Second thing that caught my attention was that you state you were hired ASAP. No one is hired ASAP. Before hiring a candidate, you must fill out at least an application and all required papers in order to be checked with the FMCSA for your PSP score and history, your driving record, drug screening and medical examination confirmation. Let me ask you a question, have you ever been hired over the phone or you were you invited into our office for orientation? We as a carrier are taking a huge responsibility by letting you go on the road under our authority. Don't you think that you as a driver should have asked questions about the position, requirements and qualification before committing to take a trip? As I recall from our conversations over the phone Paul and I have mentioned to you about lease to own options and availability of equipment. We are putting a lot of effort, money, and work to keep our equipment well maintained and operating safely. That's why we are encouraging our drivers to maintain the equipment in good standing as well. You have mentioned about the charges the company is charging the drivers for logbook violations, but you obviously forgot to mention about the bonuses we are issuing to them for a good work. We have a lot of drivers who have been with the company for a very long time and never had any issues. My suggestion for you would be to find a place where you could be a company employee and work under W-2 with the pay rate of 28c/m. Next time you post a shady story, please be honest and tell the whole truth, but not just your side of the story!

Lol that GTS comes on here to defend themselves but FMCSA does not lie.

I think the driver had it right when he reported GTS.

Sound the alarm. Bring in all Illinois drivers to have a discussion about GTS.

.....wow 28c/m eh? that's a very disheartening statement ,maybe he should reconsider the offer from GTS ,atleast he could make more than 28c/m,be his own corp.,along with his trusted allies at GTS

I find choosing the username "trucking safety" amusing.
Especially since the new employee candidate is offered a truck clearly with multiple obvious DOT violations, even before stepping foot in it.

I think a username such as "exceeds safety intervention threshold" would be more appropriate, after viewing FMCSA scores.

Clearly not that much responsibility if you have drivers set up corporations and treat them like "subcontractors."
