If anyone is wanting to haul containers in the Columbus, OH area stay away from MMT!! They're horrible to work for. I worked 70 hours one week for a check of 197.85 cents! They lie, cheat you out of loads. Worst company I have ever worked for in my life! I can't say one good think about them! They have had checks bouncing lately, dont want to pay detention pay. Taking 70% or more of the O/O fuel surcharge etc... I worked there for 3 months only cause I had to support a family, but was looking for another job every day. You will go broke working here!!!

Done and done driver! In fact I will stay away from any and all Intermodal companies....not willing to fix and/or spend free time getting all those junk chassis fixed, so I don't end up with a worthless CSA score due to other lazy drivers that put D.O.T. issues on "the next guy".
I have picked up empty containers with a flatbed, and EVERY yard operator was a complete jerk as well. So were the scale and guard shack personnel. Seemed nobody was in a good mood in those container yards. Show up happy, and leave pissed.
NO THANK YOU!!! Not even to feed my family.Bfr38, 281ric and Western flyer Thank this. -
You're exactly right! You hit the nail right on the head on everything!!!! Couldn't have said it better myself!!!

197.$ driver? ....now that's what we call welfare trucking
-
Yeah tell me about it lol you cant even say that people on welfare make more than me busting my ### 50-70 hours a week. As soon as I got that check I reported them to BBB, Attorney General, DOT, etc... They're the worst company out there! They will steal every penny from you if they could.
-
I have never worked for them or know anything about them except I deliver beside of their columbus yard and it looks more like a junkyard than a terminal..
Bfr38 Thanks this. -
Oh yeah its a joke! They have crap all around there, and they want you to back in off the road, or try to put 40 foot trailers in there yard. Everytime I would go to pick up a trailer it would be clear in the back, and I would have to move two, or 3 trailers to get mine and then find where to drop them trailers and then put them back I have been in there for 2 hours, or longer before just trying to get trailers moved around biggest joke of a company there is. So you haul for the gas company next door there? My friend was telling me Helena there was hiring. Yeah if anyone talks about going to MMT tell them to go else where. To many much better container companies out there. I would work for Container Port before MMT, but if someone wants to haul containers Eagle, Freedom, Fratrans etc... Anyone but MMT, and Always Dragon Freight both companies are crooks. Have a safe one out there driver!!!
cc tanker Thanks this. -
There lot is horrible, they lie, cheat you out of pay. They're horrible people to work for! I worked 70 hours one week for a check of 197 dollars and some odd cents!!!! Thats when I quit. You can make more money flipping hamburgers than what I was making driving a semi! I have all of my payroll too. So I can prove to anyone how bad they are. This is how bad they are SWIFT, SCHNEIDER, PAM, etc... Yes you read that right. I would rather work for them than MMT out of Columbus, OH. You will still even make more money!!! MMT WHAT A JOKE!!!! MMT stands for "Must Mean Trouble" I was a company driver and they charged me for a mud flap, and a service call. Keep in mind it was there truck. The only thing I was 50% on was fuel. I was never good at math, but tell me how this is 50/50. This company is crooks!!!!
-
That was 8 loads that got hauled. I worked probably 50-60 hours that week for a check a little over 200 dollars. If anyone wants to go here by my guest. I just am a good person and hate to see people get screwed over. They're also taking around 30-40% of the O/O Fuel Surcharge, and on top of that 30% of the load which is fine I understand they need to make there money, but taking that much from fuel, and lieing on the loads is what I have a problem with!
-
What kind of arrangement do they have there? You were a company driver but paid half their fuel costs?
