Angry No Home Time as stated by PTL truck Lines

Just a word about home time. was reading earlier questions about PTL. I went thru their program and got my own tractor went out with them and they just kept me out. they state u get home in 5 days from request but that is not true. I was out for 11 Days from home time request and still could not get home. So i am now going with averitt express. 22 days away would be ok if they would have let me go home for the 4.5 days accumulated but they wouldnt so i didnt. Other than that PTL is a good company u get the miles and good pay. I only unloaded a trailer 1 time in 22 days and that was my choice. So be careful what the recruiters tell. Also if anybody knows could u tell me what hours are hometime at averitt they say either Sat & Sun or Sun & Mon but one will definitely will be a weekend day. Plus one more day

Smiley 1 My first post about PTL!

I finished my school to obtain my CDL in January of 2007 at a state technical school. My first choice was PTL in Murray, Kentucky. $500 after 3 day orientation on a comdata card, lunch, dinner etc etc... I didn't have an ID but every office I went to at PTL university the ladies knew my name and treated me as good as I could possibly want.

I met up with my trainer Michael P, in Hammond, La. As weird at may sound it was almost like we knew each other from the get go almost like brothers. No problem whatsoever, even tho we did get on each others nerves sometimes. This was easily cured by a slam of the door or private time away from each other at a truck stop....LOL... Well also during this time I was going through a divorce LOL fun I know. Not once even during training if I needed to be off it was not a problem. None better professional FM we had.

OK, now this is the fun part...LOL... I got finished with my training, went home again with no problem, they called and had a truck ready for me. Im back enroute to Murray which is maybe 1.5 hours from home. Here I go I am now a solo driver on my way to Indianapolis, In. I get to Indy with road construction galore, make a left turn and guess what? In the dang inside lane instead of you guessed it the outside...LOL.. Back of my trailer just barely clipped a bumper...... I am now in a panic! (Told you it gets good!) phone Murray, no problem, take pics, all is good and I DID NOT GET A TICKET!!!!! this entire ordeal lasted maybe 15 minutes at best. I made my delivery and parked for the night. Whewwwwwwwwwwwww

Next morning, Qualcomm has a message return to Murray...LOL... Safety deal which I expected & deserved. While back enroute to Murray my cell phone rings my lawyer says I have a few more details on my divorce....

Long story short (Yes im bored) I left PTL voluntarily and in the next week or 2 I have plans on returning to PTL. I want & need a refresher which from what they told me will not be a problem & based upon the past actions of PTL I do not have any doubts.

So now, you can say to yourself I have read a positive, truthful posting on a trucking company. PTL & nope I am not a recruiter, just a satisfied ex-driver who is also a soon to be future driver.

Forbidden Exclamation Learn how to type!!!

Here's the thing people, and it's not just this thread but others as well. If you're gonna post a comment or tell a story, use proper grammer and spelling so the rest of us trying to read it can understand what the heck is going on. You can't type what's rumbling in your head straight to this board cause only you are gonna understand it!!! It's basic grade school knowledge!!! Think and organize before you type!!! No wonder the whole world see the U.S. as being uneducated after reading something like this!!

How hard is it?

How hard is it to put thoughts into complete sentences instead of just rambling on? Show some respect for yourself. Actually, you know what, no need for grammer police here. If people want to demonstrate their lack for knowing how to speak and write English thats fine. Those of you that want to show your support for the possibly educationally challenged then thats fine too. Maybe you all rode the same bus to school. But seriously, its a sad day when people who speak the English language on a day to day basis have no idea how to put it down on paper especially truck drivers. It just futher adds to the sterotype of the fat, lazy, uneducated truck driver and I as a truck driver take offense to others in this career field making the rest of us look bad. And I have a PHd? You talk as if you know me? I'm pretty sure I don't know you. Oh I get it, you were trying to make a funny with a sarcastic remark. Thats a good one. Better luck next time though, cause actually it really wasn't all that funny or even all that slick as a sarcastic remark. Anyhow, carry on those of you actively living the sterotype.

Actually if you really want to get picky, your post is very difficult to read since it just rambles together without any separation such as a paragraph or new sentence line.

Just my opinion though.

Then obviously you are one of those that can't seem to comprehend the english language. If you could, you would have noticed that no new paragraph is needed, anywhere. You would have also noticed that after each period, there is a capital letter denoting a new sentence. If you can't see that, then maybe you too need to go back to school. I'm done posting on this thread. I have a long haul ahead of me. See ya out on the big road, or not.

Whatever, I just made a comment. If you want to type like that, be my guest.

I have plenty of education and therefore I can elect to choose to not read your postings.

Best to you. Just tried to be nice and you proved it to be a worthless effort.
