Anyone that is approached by Johnny Jameson for Cherokee logistics run the other way! He doesn't pay his drivers! Just found out 3 other drivers have walked away from trucks because he doesn't pay. He's told us that he only owes us $559 for 5700 miles and 23 days of work. My hubby said fine pay me that and come get your truck ... Still no pay. This guy is such a jerk that when I got on the phone and tried to diffuse the situation he told me "He didn't hire me and hung up". Apparently he doesn't have the balls to stand up for himself especially when he knows he's a crook.
Drivers beware .. He'll be looking for another victim soon. He's already had to change states and rename his company (previously beyond logistics)
I guess he's never had to deal with a pissed off trucker's wife who just so happens to be in possession of his truck :)

The whole problem is that people DONT scan the trucker forums before taking a job .
They get bit by one of these snakes then complain.
We need a certified registry of these companies.
Revealing to the public what they are doing.

Like a CSA or DMV for companies

    Something like a scoring system....

Using HTML code...when someone searches for a company on the net it Automatically Pulls up their real profile.

..a driver will see the Actual Stats on the company and if need be think again before
being sucked into one of these vacuums....real things, like pay, miles, benefits, direct deposit,etc....not just complaints from angry folks.

If done correctly it will reveal the info needed to let them put themselves out of business.

Computer Wizards ...mows your chance :)

You're right. I searched for any info on this guy before my hubby left for Texas and found nothing. He has a very small company so he seems to fly under the radar. He gets away with it because it's usually too much of a hassle to try to go through the legal system to get your money. I thought maybe if I posted here someone that needs the info might see it before they take a job with him. Our family was already struggling and now my hubby has been on the road for 3 weeks and will never see a dime. I believe in Karma I just hope he gets what he deserves.

Dont know if it applies to your case....but if a company doesn't offer direct deposit....Run !

Ill see about starting something to even the playing field ....it's time we torch the trucking establishment

I actually still have this #######es truck parked in my driveway. He rented the trailer ... That company actually wanted us to drive it 3 hours away from my house to bring it back to them ... With no compensation ... I don't see that happening :)

He did offer direct deposit. He's still telling us he's depositing money into our account today ... He's been saying that everyday for 2 weeks.

Watch out....don't let them set you up for an " abandonment " on your record....these companies play very dirty pool.

I have seen the ugliness first hand....give them their truck back and start with a better company is my .02 worth .

Do you think I'm just required to just give it back? I was worried that if we didn't bring it back to him in texas he would hit my hubby's DAC report. Then you run into more expense ... Towards the end of the last load he called my hubby and said he had cut ties with the company he was leasing the truck to and if the truck needed fuel my hubby would need to pay for it and get reimbursed next pay period. Needless to say at that point he drove it in empty. So who pays the fuel and time to get the truck back?

You will need to ask them....the boss where I work will fire someone regardless of where they are

and have someone go get the truck....he had several people who's sole job is to retrieve trucks all over the country.
