I've heard countless drivers complain about their company they work for. I know recruiters lie like crazy to get drivers in their doors. I know most companies give their newer equipment to those who are with the company longest and have the safest driving habits. I just wonder...is every company secretly a crap company to work for, or are most drivers habitual complainers? I work for a company now that is horrific so I know they exist but, I can't believe that every company is bad. If they all were that bad nobody would be working for them at all. Maybe it would be better if we had a "Great Companies To Work For" topic area. Then again, some people think their company sucks and some people think their company is awesome. Sometimes I think you just get out of it what you put into it. The truly bad companies should be getting sued.
I wonder...

If you find a truck driver who doesn't complain about something, you've found the only one lol. My contention is the higher the pay, the more likely you are to find whiners. The same can be true on the bottom end of the pay scale. In my case, I'm kinda middle of the pay scale, and the company I work at has some serious crybabies...
mattbnr, mrbmg and janet quail Thank this. -
I work for swift in the flatbed division, they have me in a brand new truck, give me stable miles pulling for the same customers, I get along great with my dispatcher, and made 55k last year as a solo driver. I got my CDL through swift as well and really the entire experience from the academy to my trainer to solo driving has been positive. I'm about halfway through my 3rd year with swift and have no intention of leaving. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I know a lot of other happy swift flatbedders as well.

One day you'll be complaining with the best of them, lol. If companies were peasant to work for then no one would be complaining. But unfortunately companies, the industry has too many flaws and FMCSA has a lot to do with it.Starter companies I don't think will ever have problems finding drivers.Tey have orientation twice or more every week..Just look on the forum how many are attending school or in training right now.But companies that require exp may be having trouble finding drivers.

My first truck was brand new only 27 miles, a 1998 FLD. There were guys that worked for Swift for over a year (long timers for that company) that were driving beaters.
Oh and yes you will see more Disgruntled posting on a company than you will see contented driver posts...people are like that
There is a forum for favorite companies on here
