All seems great at first being home weekends and benefits offered. What they fail to mention is you will be a bottom feeder....Dispatch is terrible with favoritism. Being at the bottom is a given at any new job, but when loads are "slow" you will be moving trailers back and forth all day long for 12 an hour; if you even get to do that. They have part timers that will get more priority to work than you as full time. If no loads are available at the time, then dispatch will call and verify if the part timers plan on working or not and then will tell you if your needed to come in and work, all depending on whether its possibly raining and one of the part timers can't work at his primary job or not. Sometimes its yea come on in and work local for 12 an hour moving trailers and helping out at the warehouse or it's hey I'll call you Monday morning.....again, it all depends on the part timers and their schedules cause they will be higher priority than you as full time. They have plenty of loads but problem is your not gonna get them because they will feed their seniority drivers with all they want to handle for the week first...then you will get what's left. If it's a "slow" week you will get some miles only after others have already gotten all their miles lined up for the week. I've plainly seen mt out in am, reload then drive back 8 hours...hookup to another trailer and head right back out that night to deliver at 8 am next morning 10 hours away. Though it's required you deliver what you bring back and eat that half a day wo much pay, the whiners...I mean seniority drivers will leave their load on the yard and hook right up to something else and guess who will deliver that crap load for them and not make much money while dispatch covers for em as if they had an appt when they are already on another load headed out. At times they will have a new load come in after you have done their crap work delivering the load for that other driver in the am and then you will be dispatched at 3pm to delivery 8 hours away. Once you MT out locally then you are required to take trailer down the road and drop it and hook up to loaded and then return to the yard...so if your on mileage pay then you will be working for free. Insurance is very high for family, so your first 800 miles for the week is already gone if you want the medical; If your working hourly then you may owe them money at end of week. Provided they are short on drivers you should be able to get plenty of miles at first, but then when that boom is over you will get a load by tuesday or wednesday. Or maybe if your really lucky they will have a load of landscape trees you can haul for 12 an hour on the flatbed. Overall, you can make decent money here some weeks. Easy to work with if you need time off for appointments and such. Mechanics on-site if you have problem, they don't do oil service though. You gotta take truck for service yourself. Your mileage really all depends on how many loads the senior drivers want to handle for the week vs how many loads are available, then whatever is left for you, if anything, since you are at bottom of their seniority ranked drivers list. And most of the back haul and then deliver back around town schedule times are really tight; it's great for getting back to town quick, but if your a stickler for abiding by DOT laws then steer clear of this company for sure cause it's impossible to meet the times scheduled most of the time doing it by the book. Truck is equipped with tablet that has tracking and time stamps of location although your not required to use it, but it's gotta be on and you can hide it so DOT can't see it. Oh and if that tablet breaks, they will give you the 800 number so you can waste your time on the phone with support to fix it since they want be able to get the stats from your truck.

    They don't?

You think product just magically appears on store shelves?

At times I share your disgust. But make no mistake. America needs truckers, and I'm proud to be one of them.
