Guess what, I actually got home as promised every weekend without fail. Fast forward to the middle of April 2007. I turn in my truck as requested before my wedding and subsequent honeymoon. My fleet manager also knew that I was going to have jaw surgery and I would be out of work for a couple of months. She told me that would not be a problem and that my job would be waiting for me. I returned to work this past Monday only to find out that I would have to repeat orientation complete with Smith System training and road test. Two days into orientation I get a huge surprise. JBHunt has a new rule... you can't run southeast regional until you have one year otr experience. Instead of letting me return to my original position, they insist that I go otr until I have one year experience and then I can switch back. I am furious. I phoned my fleet manager and recruiter and they both were "shocked" that I would not be allowed to go back to the job that I had done so well. Anyways, I sitting at home now if anyone wants to suggest another trucking company with weekend hometime.
I know this is probably a dumb question being that we're talking about JB - but when you left for your surgery, did you fill out any type of leave papers, did JB request anything in writing from your dr? I know with FMLA papers a company has to hold your job. Just wondering. Best of Luck to you and your family.

Hello JB

Maybe we would not hang up on you if you actually stopped calling us when we request to be taken off your call list.

Maybe we would stop being angry with you if you would stop running false promise blind ads.

Maybe you could recruit more if you would be honest with a driver that just wants to work hard and feed his family.

I would never work as a recruiter for any company that I was so ashamed that I would not give my name and the name of my company when I call a prospective driver.

I once had to ask a JB recuiter 4 times before he admitted that he was with JB Hunt.

How can a person become so cowardly?

Tell them that you will require a wriiten contract guaranteeing a minimum of $1000 per week. That will end it right there.

We just can't have full names posted publicly. I see you don't have enough posts to enable PM privileges yet, so what you would have to do is send the info you want someone to have to one of us, and we will forward it. You can be assured it will get to it's intended destination.

Hi. I'm your buddy.

Hi. I'm a JB JobHunt recruiter, and I'm your buddy. Oh, don't worry. I won't break the rules here. I'll just come in, smile a little bit, be nice to folks, and drop a few hints about another website I can be found on. When drivers go there they will of course be able to find me easily, as I use the same username on both websites. And being as I'm a recruiter and I can actually recruit on the other site.............[YOU finish it].

It means she's slow
It's a typical company truck
It's just all show and no go

I'm gettin' passed by Yella
And even Overnite
I'm gettin' passed by ever' body in sight
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

No, my hometown's nowhere in sight
And if you think I'm pissed off
You're right
46 days on the road
And I'm not gettin' home tonight

Love pissing off those trucking company insiders.

If I say anything on that subject, it'll probably come out sounding like an advertisement and the mods would remove it.

If you want removed from the call list, you have to BE PATIENT and HOLD ONTO THE LINE when we transfer you to the person who takes phones out of the system from their computer. Otherwise if you're impatient and hang right up, Guess what. YOU GET CALLED AGAIN. Boo-F*ckety-Hoo. If you didn't have 30 seconds to get your number removed you DESERVE every next call you get. Don't come bawlin to me about it, that's not my problem.

False Promise Blind Ads?!? WTF? Since i've been working here, i've heard 1 advertisement for JB Hunt on Sirius, and it wasn't lying. All it said was "Openings for OTR, Dedicated, Regional" (which, when Sirius reaches such a BROAD area, someone may very well have one in their area.)

And if some of you have ever gotten a call from me, you KNOW my first AND LAST name, AND I tell you who i'm calling from. (and in some cases, you have my cell phone number. b/c i can't contact you directly for some reason.) And if you didn't hear it the first time, I'll repeat it good and loud for you so you KNOW. so you KNOW that i'm in the building off of I-540 in Lowell, AR.
