That's what I'd normally do, but I left it on because my stepdad was in the ICU last time (he died last week), my mom isn't well, etc. etc. so I need to have it on for family emergency calls.

If you want the truth about anything they do over there, Im happy to answer you. There is a lot of wrong information in this thread. You respect me, I will respect you. I spent many many years as a recruiter there. Just recently moved on about a month ago for a new career direction.
Personally, I loved it there. It was a great job and I did very well at it.
Let me point out a few of the things I see wrong on here. I see people saying we are trained to lie. That couldnt be more wrong. We are monitored all the time. If one of the VPs or even Craig Harper is listening to us and he hears us lie, we would be fired immediately. Now, do some recruiters lie? Absolutely. I saw many get fired for it. There are liars in every job. You drivers say recruiters always lie, we recruiters say you drivers always lie. In my many years as a recruiter, talking to 100s of drivers everyday. There wasnt a day that went by where I wasnt lied to by at least 20 drivers. There wasnt a week that went by, where hours and hours of my time was wasted because a driver lied to me. Am I bitter about it? Not at all. Dealing with liars on both sides is just part of the business.
Some of you might ask why recruiters are paid so much over at JB. I will answer that for you. Because its a very very hard job. The average length of recruiter employment there is about 6 months. Many people just cant do the job. The upper managment and execs of JB know that they have to pay very well to get the people that can do the job well. The recruiters over there come from all sorts of backgrounds and educational levels. Most are college educated. Many including myself have advanced degrees like MBAs. However, I have seen some people with no college at all, but a lot of sales experience come in there and do very well. Basically the reason we were paid so well is because we had a skill that a lot of people couldnt do, and we generated a hell of a lot of money for the company.

Ive seen people on this board say they are really making the "company insiders" at JB angry with this website. Well, not exactly. Most of the people in the office find this website pretty damn funny. Threads about JB on here get passed around the office in emails and everyone kind of laughs about it. I know the recruiter who started this thread personally. He was one of the top recruiters in the company and still recruits drivers, although he has his own company now. Hes been gone from JB for about 4 months. Yes, the managment knew about this thread and who started it. They didnt get angry. It was more like "if you are going to play out there with them, try to be a little more respectful". And that was the end of it.

Ok, so if anyone wants to ask me questions about how things really are, Im happy to answer. You respect me, I will respect you. I no longer recruit drivers, so you can be assured that I will be truthful.
I never met anybody at JB Hunt that wasnt a liar, ncluding Craig himself--why do you think that Bryan Hunt has nothing to do with that comapny? Because he doesnt like the way that People like Craig H are taking that company down the backside looking for drivers and running the place into the ground. If you really are a recruiter ther(which I doubt), you would know this. Also $340,000 a year for a recruiter at JB Hunt? You are full of you know what-there aint NO WAY, NO HOW. That statement pretty much told me that you dont work there-you may think you are all that, but dont come over here and insult our intelligence and take us all for fools. If anybody else here believes that about their recruiters making that kind of money--I got a bridge in Brooklyn that I will sell you in a fire sale!

Tim, what he's saying is the truth. The top guy (if it were Mr. Lloyd, it wouldn't surprise me) supposedly made 6 figures last year. Do also realize that he owns his own hiring/application/posting sites, so he's probably shelling out 70K/year into that. Matter of fact, I note some of those sites at the TOP OF THE PAGE I AM TYPING ON. I KNOW, I USED TO WORK IN THE DESK NEXT TO HIM. And it is true that we cannot use the JB Hunt Logo, the JB Hunt name, or ANYTHING in our own personal advertisements, since it is a copyright. At least that's what I was always told.

And sure, While we're at it, How much for that bridge?

Yes, Twice. Once for about 8 months, and once for about 3 weeks. Read my posts and you will see. It wont ever happen again, trust me. Beleive me, this guy is crazy--recruiters at JB are some of the least paid in the industry--like I said anybody who beleives this is nuts. $300,000, right. Beleive me if he made that kind of money he would be one of the richest guys in NW Arkansas, and beleive me there aint very many rich folk there. The Waltons, Hunts, and Tysons dont count. Maybe he is one of those people who moved to Belle Vista because Eric Estrada told him to because JB Hunt is close by. Oh I forgot, those homesites are below his meger $300,000 salary. Also, I was told that you couldnt use last names on this site and this guy is dropping them like flies. I hope the board mgt catches onto this.

Really? Since you know so much about Northwest Arkansas, then kindly explain why all these gated communities are springing up around Rogers/Bentonville/Fayetteville, and there "ain't many rich folk here". Or as to why there are more than 100 homes in pinnacle with people who aren't named Tyson, Walton, Hunt, or Maestri.

Granted, the salary was OK and the commissions sucked. but if you bust your balls and operate a pyramid-type scheme, then 300,000 is well within reach. Plus the guy in question never lived in a huge house, he lives in a one-story out on beaver lake.

and If you really wanna play the last name card, Lloyd isn't the guy's last name.

That's good because we don't allow the posting of last names here, be they your own or someone else's, and that goes for all of you.

Hello? I R Right here!

I left because of the announced downsizing of the division and because my childhood dream job asked me to work there.

I drive a Train for a living now! WHOOOOOOOOOOOO WHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! OK, still not the CONDUCTOR or DISPATCH, but I pull the levers and operate the levers that make it go FORWARD, BACKWARD, STOP, and FULL BLAST AHEAD!!!!!! WHEEEEE!!! Don't you just feel safer that i'm behind the throttle of an EMD SD70M?

Ask Mack E-6. When I first came here, I was a recruiter for...them. But I was respectable, and my real reason for being here was to find out what the trucking community at-large (aka, YOU) thought about the company I worked for. Needless to say, I was not enthused much when I popped on here and found the 2 stickied threads over in BAD company, and this site's own admin's story about JBHT, which was the last PM I received before having my PM privileges revoked out of concern that I might attempt to recruit users of this site. I told him in no uncertain terms to do what he thought was right, if banning my PM privileges would, in his words, "keep you honest". And to this day, I've even made a believer out of TIP that I haven't broken faith. Yes. That Tip T. Tipster.
