Hey, i am not banned anymore! Thanks. Let me make it clear again, I am no longer a recruiter and dont even work in trucking anymore. I just thought you would want to hear things from the other side. Again, just like any message board there can be tons of misinformation here.

From what I understand from working there for so long, is the do no call list doesnt apply to recruiters. Like its been mentioned before. The best way to get removed from JB hunts calling list is ask the recruiter to transfer you to the removal girl or lady. Its impossible for the recruiter to remove your name and number. Its impossible for the recruiter to write down your number and have it removed. So, yelling at him and hanging up on him does nothing but insures another call a few days later. For the most part the recruiters there dont like calling the same people over and over. Its simply beyond their control.

Just to make sure things havent changed since Ive been out of recruiting, I called my buddy who owns and executive recruiting firm. He confirmed what I said. The Federal Do Not Call list does not apply to recruiting. However, there is a bill in congress right now that is trying to make the do not call list apply to military recruiting and if that law passes, it may or may not apply to job recruiting.

So, When did you get ex-communicated from the 3rd floor of East Campus? I left last December, but i've been here for quite a while as you can see, and most of the people here already know me.

I doubt things have changed much since I left JBHT. Still ICS, still Dedicated, still suffering on the OTR side, except Jonathan's the manager now from what I hear. BTW, to clarify, you CAN use first names, no last names. Who was the "300k" man I've heard all about? was it Floyd or Hawk (his nickname, not last name) or one of the external guys?

    I quit about in march.

Todd was the number 1 recruiter there for many years. He didnt work in the office, he worked from home. He made so much money he didnt even count for the top recruiter contest. As far as the number 1 in the office, yes lloyd was always it.

And to prove you're talkin' smack,if what you say about that "local tanker position" is true, then you wouldn't be on here braggin',you'd be getting the job done and counting you're bonus bucks. And wait untill you're boss finds out you can't spell a little word like "LIST",YOU'RE IN A WORLD OF TROUBLE MY GOOD MAN;can you say...FIRED? Didn't know Internet providers accepted food stamps, I'll have to give it a try.

Seriously, I feel for you and the many others in your position, I just can't understand how so many people can make such a huge decision without first doing some research. I wouldn't take that $70k/year job hauling a tanker for the simple fact that I'd have to drive a truck with the words "J B Hunt" on it. Pride may have a price, but $70K/year isn't it.

For the record, The original smart ### recruiter was talking about JB now recruiting for other companies, not JB.
The 70-80K a year tanker job he was talking about was a company for Praxair. So you wouldnt be driving a truck with "JB Hunt" on it.
Whether you like JB Hunt or not, JB is known throughout the industry of having the best recruiters in the business. (What corporate offices call the best, drivers would most likely call the worst) In other words, the most aggressive. So while I was there, more and more companies were paying JB hunt to allow JB recruiters to recruit for their companies. I think what the original poster was trying to say was just because a JB recruiter calls you, doesnt mean he would be tying to recruit you for a JB Hunt Job. He was just being a smart ### at the same time.
Im not sure if JB is still recruiting for Praxair, however that was a great job. The problem with it was no one qualified for it. No felonies or misdemeaners ever. No tickets in the last 3 years. No dwi's ever. No unemployment at all in the last years. You had to be completely spotless for that job.
