If you want to work somewhere that will nickle and dime you to death this is your company. Im talking about them taking your money and being gutless. There not up front they wait till you leave to charge you for stuff on your check and if you give two weeks notice they still screw you. Also you might get stuck working with a drunk like i did cause there the only ones that can deal with this wanna be company. They also like to say you did or took something when you didnt just so.they dont have to pay you. The trucks are junk refrigerators dont work half the time trucks break down. There even so cheap they charge you for an advance an extra 10 bucks on top of what you borrowed like i said they got to dip into everything. Charge 25 dollars a week for a pallet jack you never use. If you want to starve this is your place i warned you. Any good comments on here are from someone inside the company posting them. I just hope karma comes back to bite the in the ###. Hey mayfield express fyi you got drunks driving your trucks btw.

Cranky yankee its a post to warn people of how they do you. I dont want to see anyone else waste there time like i did. If people work for there money they should get it. Not have someone taking it especially if you give up your time away from family and friend being over the road. Also we all know it costs alot being out there on road working. I just dont want another person wasting months of there time for nothing like i did. Im not a one post wonder i will reply and answer any question anyone has.

First off Mike your way off, we charge $25,00 a week for the equipment that contractors lease in our trucks. TV, refrigerators, Microwaves, TV, DVD, GPS, Players, Load locks, straps, Two wheel dollies, four wheel Dollies, and a Pallet Jack. You was a CONTRACTOR. Any money that the truck made from the use of the equipment in the truck you got 100% of. Like the time you and your co driver got paid 250.00 each to use the pallet jack to unload the freight. Mayfield Express is not a bank and if you want money advanced to you before you even do one load, your going to pay a fee for it as we have to pay one. As part of your Lease you are responsible for the fuel over 100 miles to you house in Florida. We never charged any money for all the times you both deadhead over 600 miles on our dime to go home, but we are a bad company. We have people that makes over $1000.00 a week with us. Why because they want to work. You drove for us less than 3 months and did damage to our truck messing up $2000.00 worth of brand new tires because you didn't know how to use a drop axle. We had to have over $1000.00 worth of work done to it because of you and your co driver. As for your Co driver being a drunk, you never called and said one thing about that to us or the carrier we are leased on with about that, but yet you drove with him for almost three months. Your upset because you was charged for a GPS that you removed from the truck that you claimed was yours. You was told to fax us a receipt that showed you bought one, but that has never came to our office. The truck you drove has been on the road making more money than it did with you and your co driver in it. You call us gutless as we will defend Mayfield Express from people that tell lies. I will be waiting on your reply

We have drivers that have been with us since 1999 and make a good living. You can't please everyone, our carrier gives us $130.00 to go to Canada and we pass 100% of that on to our drivers because they took the time to get their passports so they can go to Canada. They get 100% of any charges we charge for the use of the pallet jack. We have drivers that make over a $500.00 to $1000.00 a month extra off the use of the pallet jack. Which would you rather pay as a driver? $100 a month for all the extra things we put in a truck and make $500.00 to $1000.00 extra a month? Or not have to pay anything and only get 20% of those fees and have no TV, DVD Player, Microwave, refrigerator, or GPS,? As contractors they lease the truck and have to have their own equipment or they are classified as employees. That is why we charge that and have never charged drivers for dead heading home on our dime for their home time.
