Do you run intrastate? State laws work different than federal in many cases. If you don't leave your state and stay with 100 air miles of your terminal than yes 16 work day is possible. Also you can't be forced to do something illegal.

B&w, innovative logistics, and Cws are all one company, and every time I see one of those trucks on the road, I can almost guarantee the driver is doing or will do something stupid. I've witnessed those clowns doing everything from unsafe lane changes to watch the DVD player while going down the road. Why fmcsa hasn't shut them down by now is beyond me.

Its 12 hrs only !!!! I don't know where this driver got his info but ....its not 16 hrs a day for local jobs ....possible only on a split board where the driver loads trucks but im not sure about 16 hrs a day is legal even at this -
Companies can't make drivers do anything. If they don't wanna run illegal then simple,SAY NO.May result in termination which then could result in a lawsuit and unemployment benefits.Drivers must not mind it much if they continue to work for this company. These ppl are like you give them an inch they'll take a mile.As long as drivers cant say no and sue them, they will continue to operate illegally.
bigdogpile Thanks this. -
If you go over 12 hours, you must fill out log regardless of running across state line or distance from terminal.I would report them to the FMCSA whistle blower hotline.
