But they did offer a phone number and asked that I call in to discuss the merits of the situation, so who knows. One can only hope, eh? BTW, if there should be any Mid States, Milwaukee terminal employees out there who should happen to be reading this, would you consider contacting me? I would like to discuss certain aspects of this situation with you, and to put your stories together, in case this reporter should actually decide to investigate and run with this. Thx. G
Very interesting
Thanks

Taxi Lorry Reading all of the post in my email......

This story sounds just like a story Geraldo Rivera would cover...I am going to email him...some of the rest of you do the same. My wife wrote a form letter describing everything we have been discussing here. She is going to start sending it to all news outlets, state and fed. reps and law enforcement. I have not read it as of yet, but she is really good at writing and she is really good and angry...I will post it here so you can copy it off.

man, i just want to let all of you former mid-states employees know that you are all in my prayers.... i couldnt even imagine having to deal with the stuff you people are dealing with right now... you people hang in there, and after this is all over with, you will have more integrity and character in your index fingers, than those people running that company had in there entire bodies.

i dont know about that whole geraldo rivera deal... he lost alot of credibilty when he gave away those soldiers position a few years back, on story he was doing... i would try a syndicate radio host or something along those lines. if you are in the wisconsin area try jeff wagner at 620 wtmj. i believe he is a former federal procecutor.. i know one thing is for certain, you guys have to get this thing out in the public because the general population doesnt even know about this at all..

Has anyone concidered contacting the Law Firm that filed and won there case against Mid-States for the insurance deal?? When I spoke to a rep. there several weeks ago I asked her about this very problem! What if Mid-States files bankruptcy?? If I remember correctly she said that they would have to be put on the list as the creditors would?? May be call this Law firm and ask them questions seeing as they were previously involved in a class action suite with Mid-States. Just a thought!!
I have tried to contact by email a Milwaukee radio host about this story but have not heard anything back from him, may be some of the Milwaukee employees could contact him as well??? I'm going to attempt to contact as many employees as I can here in Wisconsin to see if they are willing to climb aboard!! Although I no longer work for Mid-States I have medical bills from year 2005 paid out of pocket in the thousands dollar range and sure would like to see some if not all that back!!!!!
I think your ideas are great!! Keep on pushing ahead no matter what falls in front of you!!

I still think the best way to get this story out would to be a picket line so to speak in from of the Galena office.

I think if as many people that can show up should. The media would be forced to hear your story then. Whoever was speaking with Wall Street Journal can call the and let them know that MSXN employees is taking a stand against the Hartmanns. Again it is very important that this is done before May 6th so everyone in the nation can hear our stories.

We can send a e-mail to CNN and let them know as well, I bet they would show up as well.

The question is how can we get the word out ? Who has a phone list of Managers who can hopefully contact employees and let them know. There has to be someone who is in the know, who has this information. If someone would tell me who that person is I would be glad to call them myself and ask them to help.

This has to stop NOW there are people out there who can not afford to feed their families or even pay their mortgages and car payments. People have been forced out of their job and live without while the Hartmanns go on living their lives without regret.

Time is running out .... We MUST make a move on this.

My husband was a driver with Mid-States for several years in Springfield. Of course all our friends and family know of the situation that Mid-States employees are going through right now, so my sister sent me a link to a news report of another trucking company in Omaha who did the same thing to its employees. I wrote to the TV station that reported the news and told them about Mid-States. The reporter e-mailed me back and has asked for names of any truckers who worked for the Omaha terminal to contact him. His name is Mike McKnight, WOWT-TV . So if there are any truckers from the Omaha terminal who is on this board or forum, please contact Mike. If anyone knows any truckers from the Omaha terminal, please let them know. Mike sounded really interested in the story.
